adityadaniel
Hi! I'm having a problem with my Dell Optiplex 990 installation. I read that NVIDIA GT 710 is work OOB in Sierra so I purchased one and install it. The problem is I now can boot with nvdia_drv=1 via Clover but got no graphics acceleration. NVDIA Web Driver on Menu Bar is checked but nothing got detected in ECC tab and it only display 1280 x 720. I'm using iMac 14.2 in SMBIOS and enable EMUVariableUEFI-64 on Clover. There's also glitch on login screen. I connect my Dell via HDMI, so could this be a problem? Any help?

I just tried iMac14,2 and it works fine here without web drivers I am on DVI, I can't test HDMI at this moment... The GT 710 does not support ECC by the way. polyzargone
@adityadaniel Try this config.plist and put DSDT.aml in CLOVER/ACPI/patched. Also, you don't need NullCPUPowerManagement.kext and you should use AppleALC.kext & Lilu.kext available in post #1 : optional Audio Optiplex790 and 990. Test and report ! @MacPeet It's not Lilo.kext but Lilu.kext ! adityadaniel.zip
adityadaniel
@polyzargone still no luck, still says NVIDIA Chip Model 3MB like the screenshots I post earlier. I've tried changing the SMBIOS to MacPro 3,1 with AGDPFix and not working.
polyzargone
OK. Could you run the attached script (make sure EFI is mounted and that the Clover_Report folder is in your Downloads folder) : Clover_Report.zip
MacPeet
It's not Lilo.kext but Lilu.kext ! yes, write error Edit: Install 10.13 so far unsuccessfully on my Optiplex 780. HD5450 no longer works with High Sierra. Not with vanilla patch, not with kext entry. Only without QE / CI without Kext I come into the system. On my laptop, however, 10.13 works. MacPeet
Installation is not a problem. The intallation on the Optiplex 780 is complete. The boot ends, however, in the blackscreen. Only without AMD5000Controller.kext and AMDRadeonX3000.kext I come into the system in VesaMode. I have read, not Apple AMD graphics cards now need Helper iGPU. The Optiplex 780 has no helper GPU. Perhaps that is why you succeed !? Let's see what other 760/780 users are doing with High Sierra.

Guest ricoc90
^ That actually makes sense. In another topic someone has a HD5870 and there's no way to get his card working. He is on a mobo without integrated graphics. Others reported no issues at all with the exact same card (and integrated graphics)

Guest ricoc90
A this point - There is someone with a HD 5870 that is not working. He does not have integrated graphics on his motherboard A couple of others with the same card reported their card as working, they do have integrated graphics on their motherboard - There is someone with a HD 5670 that is not working. He does not have integrated graphics on his motherboard - MacPeet has a HD 5450 that is not working and does not have integrated graphics So I guess the theory that non-Apple AMD cards do not work without integrated graphics is likely to be true

Guest ricoc90
HD Radeon 6450 working OOB in Sierra 10.12.6, no injecting and no DSDT and Video on Auto in BIOSWith High Sierra I don't actually get a black screen, but no GUI comes up, it stays in 'verbose mode' as it looks like. When I do inject the card I'll get a Black screen but that might be a frame buffer issue, will try to patch itWhen I change the Video BIOS setting from Auto to Onboard/PEG, my computer restarts right before the GUI should come up
