Neo.aka.Darkman
Hi! I've installed Sierra on my laptop. The only problem I have is a problem with Wi-Fi (Broadcom BCM94352HMB). In El Capitan I've used FakeID option in Clover. In Sierra FakeID is functional, kexts are loaded, but system sees no hardware. During boot I've seen following messages: Have you any ideas why it's not working? Thanks in advance.

My situation is a little bit different ... my external HD 3TB USB 3.0 is only recognized in USB 2.0 ports But Flash Disks 3.0 works in USB 3.0 ports EDIT: I was wrong, Flash Disks 3.0 is working only in USB 2.0 ports

Immediately after that, I get a kernel panic but I don't think the wifi problem is necessarily related to the kp.

lisai9093
Have you made a fresh installation or update from el capitan? Gesendet von meinem iPhone mit Tapatalk I tried both. First time upgrade from 10.11. Then I thought it probably due to upgrade bug. Then I erase whole disk and do fresh installation. But wifi do not work under both times . FrDakota
I successfully installed Sierra over El Capitan on my VirtualBox VM, but it's slow as hell. (and I have an i7 3770) Followed this tutorial to install Snow Leopard then upgraded to El Capitan and finally to Sierra. (Because 10.6.8 to Sierra doesn't work) Now I must find how to install natively on Z7-DS3H with Clover.
bisdak4920
I was able to install on my Asus H97M-E/CSM without problems. The only drawback is I cannot install PS and other programs not purchased from App Store as the option "Install From Anywhere" is no longer available. Any workaround? mnfesq
I am getting a KP from IOAcceleratorFamily2.kext. When I remove the kext from S/L/E, I can boot to Sierra but I don't get QE/CI. I am using the Intel HD4000 GPU. My AMD Radeon 7850M GPU is disabled in the BIOS. The HD4000 kexts do not load. Any ideas? EDIT: On a hunch, I put IOAcceleratorFamily2.kext back in S/L/E and removed the AMDRadeonX4000.kext. That worked! I was able to boot to Sierra with full graphics acceleration. I'm not sure why I am getting that KP and the thought of having to remove that kext for every installation, while not very onerous, is a drag for someone that wants to be able to run a Vanilla version of Sierra. Now, I need to get wifi and sound working. [sound works by installing DisableAppleHDA.kext and VoodooHDA.kext in S/L/E. However, PTHVolume will not load in Sierra. PTHVolume is a 32-bit app and Sierra will not support it so I need to find a new app to control a multi-output audio device from the menu bar.]
