Seemed better than buying a Mac Pro with 3yr-old hardware for even more! I basically inherited a gigantic Mac/Xcode project and compile times are horrendous enough that it'll pay for itself over the rMBP that I've been using.

Re: geekbench, good call. Here is the 64-bit. I don't expect to be doing much benchmarking, but, $14 is aight. Here ya go...

oh my, i'm wrong...not near 40K. It's over 40K! :w00t:

I can't only imagine what it would be at with an overclock.

I ran the ASUS suite to overclock in Windows. It fails at the bios boot with "Overclocking failed, press f1 to setup". So, thats why I just bumped the turbo multiplier. I'll bump it  to 46x tonight and post another GB later. I also have no idea what I'm doing, so hoping I don't screw something up, haha. Any advice would be appreciated!

Welp, it doesn't work with the kext either... I guess I'm the only one? It works fine in Yosemite with the kext rollbacks... But I'd hate to be stuck with Yosemite forever.

This is my EFI folder: https://www.dropbox.com/s/rn1k6u01lqm4ot9/EFI.zip?dl=0

EDIT: I probably shouldn't do these things when I'm stressed out. Either it simply didn't work the first time or I was just impatient because the PCI config begin part took a REALLY long time. Everything seems pretty good. BTW - I didn't need to disable P-States to get decent performance, what made the difference for me was using the FakeCPUID, and of course having NCPM.

yes mine is up and running. Take a look at this, maybe it will help: http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/299786-advice-sought—black-screen-after-boot/#entry2044867 the "fix lan" option in clover seems to cause that problem for a lot of people. Other than that I'm not sure.

I almost there few things left:

USB 3!!! tried many non helped

BT - looks like system recognize BT but BT not functioning

Speed test still give low results (21160 multicore) for 12 cores...2.2Ghz - i believe voodooTCSyn not needed from 10.11.3 for Xeon CPU (?)

NVME success to boot up but speed test score is very low...500/600 R/W

Fixed:

Audio / WIFI

PS,

I have a disc eject icon on top menu which i don't have any CD/DVD installed how can i remove the icon? :)

THANK YOU! I've been struggling with a c612 build for a while now, and I finally got it booted thanks to your work here. Not tuned yet, but hitting 41k on geekbench!

Don't want to hijack the thread, but I'm still having a couple of issues, the largest being that the nVidia web drivers seem to be crashing unless I use nv_disable=1. I've tried the AGDP fix, as well as Rampage's guide to patch DSDT, with no luck. Screenshot of the last lines attached.

ergot: dunno about sleep, never worked for me. But have a look at your energy usage at idle and decide if it's really even worth looking into? When I pkill -STOP my main apps and turn off the screen the entire system hovers around 20w, practically nothing.
No idea about your other issues, did you have everything working in yos?

Bench seems very low. When looking in HWmonitor do you have it flatlining peak turbo while benching or does it jump around?

I'd say prob go back to basics, Yos/Win10 and try to figure out what is what, so to speak.

You can manage menu bar items with Bartender 2.

I finally found the time to upgrade, way smooth! Just cloned out relevant part of the volume to an external, upgraded that on my MBP, dropped the updated stuff back right in-place on top of Yos. Total downtime maybe 5 minutes.

Bench seems stable, maybe even up slightly :)

Many thanks for the info.

This hasn't been a problem on my motherboard though.

It will be related to your configuration. Would you please add the type of mobo and the BIOS revision you're using to your post.

Thanks Brumbaer 5960X patch for x99.

I have x99gaming g1 wifi I like this board.G1  support auto overclock. You can see OC button in back panel.

Hi nmano,

I have the same system as yours and would like to know if you could point me to the method you have used (bios, clover settings, patch...) to get this working on your mobo. I've been away from hackintoshing for a while, so I'm not sure what I must do to patch clover for this cpu. thank you very much for your time.
