Bazill
Hey guys, I've been fiddling with creating my hackintosh for a while and I'm having some issues I can't seem to break past. Here is my specs: Mobo: Asus M5A97 LE R2 GPU: AMD R7 370 CPU: AMDFX 6300. I'm working with 10.10.5.First, I should say that I'm using chameleon. I've edited the AMDRadeonX4000 and the AMD7000Controller kext to include 68111002. Now, whenever I boot without the -x flag I only get a grey screen with an infinite beach ball. With safe boot I get a fairly functional desktop with AMD Radeon HD 7xxx 4096 MB in About This Mac. I still don't seem to have QE/CI. Whenever I use launch pad I watch as the computer places down each overlay painstakingly. And, while using notes the computer continually seems to refresh the window with every blink of the insertion point. I mention these things because I've always assumed that this problem was with a lack of QE/CI.Kextstat shows:68 2 0xffffff7f80f82000 0x126000 0x126000 com.apple.kext.AMDSupport (1.3.2) <67 66 11 10 7 5 4 3 1>69 0 0xffffff7f810a8000 0x4de000 0x4de000 com.apple.kext.AMD7000Controller (1.3.2) <68 66 11 10 5 4 3 1>75 0 0xffffff7f8165c000 0x24000 0x24000 com.apple.kext.AMDFramebuffer (1.3.2) <68 66 11 10 7 5 4 3 1>I assume one of my major problems is that AMDRadeonX4000 is not loading. When I use the kextload command my output is:/System/Library/Extensions/AMDRadeonX4000.kext failed to load - (libkern/kext) operation/kext not allowed at current boot level; check the system/kernel logs for errors or try kextutil(8).I assume this is because I'm booting in safe mode but I can't be sure. Do you guys have any suggestions? Thank you.
fantomas
Hi Do you have GraphicsEnabler on Yes in your org.chameleon.Boot.plist?
Bazill
Hi Do you have GraphicsEnabler on Yes in your org.chameleon.Boot.plist? Setting GraphicsEnabler=Yes causes the computer to no longer send any output. Monitor just goes into sleep mode. I tried booting into safe mode and without safe mode. I'm not sure if this is related but when booting I get an error that reads something like "non string smbios found in config file".
