malgkas
open Applications\Utilities\Audio MIDI Setup.app … Many thanks, that confirms that 96k is maximum available. Can this be changed/increased? Edit: Just discovered something. Boom device give mi option of selecting 192khz.

Guest ricoc90
Hi, High Sierra broke my sound on my ProBook. No audio input/output detected. Worked fine in Sierra with layout 12. Lilu + AppleALC loads, however AppleHDA does not. 1. HP ProBook 6470b 2. IDT92HD81B1X 3. 12, which worked fine in Sierra. In High Sierra I've tried all of them that are listed for IDT92HD81B1X5 (3, 11, 12, 20, 21, 28) without luck 4. 10.13 (again, worked fine in 10.12.6)5. See attachment. Also included is debug log, DSDT and kextstat output Thanks in advance EDIT: Fixed. It was an IRQ issue Audio works now. Archief.zip
maxodoble
Hi, Deskmini H110/ALC283: i am getting no sound out of the headphone jack, just static noise. i tried to activate internal Audio via AppleALC on the officially released High Sierra Version for my Asrock Deskmini H110, but i am getting no audio, just a terrible static noise out of the headphones jack.According to applealc docs the Realtek alc283 for the deskmini h110 should be supported with audio-id 66.What i did: * brand new 10.13 install, no dsdts, no changes to applehda* installed lilu 1.1.7 and applealc 1.1.4 in efi/clover/kexts/other* added patch "Rename HDAS to HDEF" to config.plist* added "Audio/Inject/66" to config.plist Hardware: * Asrock Deskmini H110 / ALC 283 * intel i5-7500 I think, the problem is, that no intel hd audio device is recognized?See details in attached Files (Clover Folder, ioreg and screenshot of audio devices) Any idea, what i am missing here? Thanks, Max Edit: added alc debug log (dbg.txt.zip) CLOVER.zip ioreg.zip dbg.txt.zip
RustyIsotope
I just did a fresh install 10.13 on my Dell XPS 13 9350. It has the ALC256 audio codec. When I put the latest versions of AppleALC and Lilu in my CLOVER/Kexts/Other folder, my system fails to boot. I see the apple logo for a second then the machine reboots. I have a patched DSDT with audio layout 13. Help would be much appreciated. Thanks.
magnificentflamingo
I don't know if this is the right place to ask this question but this is where the Github repository points to I guess. I installed the hackintosh following a hackintosher guide that helped me get to where I am, and the guide is what got me to use AppleALC. It instructs to set the layout id in the config to 11 since the motherboard I'm using is the MSI Z270 Carbon Pro that comes with a Realtek ALC1220. Everything works, but I wanted to see if I could actually have the Internal Speakers and Headphone outputs as two individual outputs rather than relying on the auto switch? I like having both the speakers and headphones connected and I prefer switching manually. Maybe it's just a matter of switching layout in the config.plist? Thanks again for your work on this project btw! Helps for people like me who's a potato at this whole hackintosh business.

sungerbobx1
Hi, Currently i'm using dual boot with windows + os x I'm sure the audio quality on windows, definitely better than os x. Is there any way to get higher volume? The funny thing is, i got better audio quality than 11 layout but, mic doesn't work or have some extra (or less) sound jack panel on sound settings when i tried other one's. The report is meant to contain: 1. Laptop model/Motherboard model2. Codec name3. Layout used with the info what works for you (ideally if you try them all)4. OS X versions you tried5. Autogenerated Info.plist made with the help of this utility. 1-) Asus b85m-g 2-) Realtek 887b 3-) I tried everything, 11 4-) 10.12.x - 10.13.0(17A405) 5-) Attached Thank you EDIT: Replaced with voodoohda, i get higher volume but i got extra jack(s) on sound settings Info.plist.7z
grandosegood
question, i setup a hackintosh based on rampagedev's guide, which uses SSDT files and not DSDT. can i still use these kexts and ACPI patch?
arsradu
question, i setup a hackintosh based on rampagedev's guide, which uses SSDT files and not DSDT. can i still use these kexts and ACPI patch? I didn't have good experiences in the past with DSDT patches. Could be just me, maybe because I'm an absolute noob when it comes to patching a DSDT. But I found them hard to use, not very user friendly and with a big potential to screw up your system. So, I personally am better off without them. My suggestion would be to just try to fix ACPI another way (for as far as I know, Clover supports a ton of patches, and if I'm not mistaken some of them are already applied for you, so you pretty much don't need to do anything) and use the kexts here for audio. They worked very well for me. Now, of course, I have no idea which audio codec are you using. But this is what I would do. Just an idea, of course. There's no ACPI patch in this thread, is it ? Rampagedev's files are compatible with AppleALC provided it uses the corresponding layout-id (usually 1, I checked his files)
