Hi

I have a laptop with ALC255 (combo jack).

I have tried various layouts but the headphones work only in 3,27.

In those layouts, there is static in headphones (sometimes at random but especially after waking from sleep).

I tried to use CodecCommander to solve these issues, but the laptop shuts down ( or kernel panics , I don't know since I don't see crash dumps) after waking from sleep or in the middle of macOS booting when the headphones are connected.

Do I need a custom layout or am I doing something wrong ?

Specifications

Acer Aspire A315-51 (i3-6006u)

CodecDump.zip

Any guidance or help where I can solutions to this problem ?

Hello, buddy, I have a same tablet like you, but I can't drive UHD620 and touchpad. Can U send your EFI file to me for testing? Thank you!

The mega link I attached already contains EFI

UHD620 enabled using '59260002' platform id and using 'dpcd-max-link-rate' patch.

And the touchpad recognized the mouse and recognized the touchscreen as a trackpad.

Just plug in your headphone,, it's automatic change. Like real apple device ways.
Tips : Keep Balance in middle to get good sound for stereo speaker

Hi, I'm hoping someone here knows how to help me. I have a Lenovo thinkcentre M92P small form factor that I can't get the audio devices to show up on. It uses the 662 chipset and I've tired appleALC and lilu in all of the layouts listed for the 662 codec, but nothing seems to be working.

Hello,

I need help as I don't know how to patch AppleALC for my ALC233(235).

Does someone have the time to patch AppleALC for me?

I would appreciate this so much.

There are 2 strange things:

1.In my codec-dump is shown

  • Codec: Realtek ALC233
  • Vendor Id: 0x10ec0235

2.I have a Desktop PC (B360 mobo) and it seems like I'm using a notebook audio board

I have 3 jacks in total: 1 rear (out), 2 front (mic + out)

Layout-ids for ALC233 doesn't work

Layout-ids for ALC235 work but only the front panel is working. When I take the jack out, the audio switches to the internal speakers, which I don't have.

I attached codec-dump from Linux

Thank you very much for your help

Here are the layouts tested

I didn't tested microphone front port at all because I don't have a microphone

3 - only front headphone port working (very bad quality)
11 - only front headphone port working
14 - only front headphone port working + shows additional line in input
15 - only front headphone port working + shows additional line in input
16 - only front headphone port working + shows additional line in input
28 - only front headphone port working + shows additional line in input

Thank you very much

Hello,

Looking to fix my audio. I am new to hackintoshing. My system is fujitsu laptop AH532/G52 Ivy Bridge HD4000 Realtek ALC269vc (from linux codec dump). It has a mic jack and headphone jack. I have tried all the lay out ids for ALC269vc. Nothing worked until I tried the hotpatch method of RehabMan, audio worked with layout id = 6. Running Mojave. Even the other problems were fixed (brightness, Siri, etc., but USB ports were messed up). Until someone said I shouldn't be using another guide for another model so I reinstalled and here I am. I am not also familiar with patching (I've been googling around) but I don't know where to start. I made sure I tried everything I can before asking for help. Thanks!

Let me know if you need other details..

Try this AppleALC.kext,, use LayoutID=21. Check the result and upload IOREG Output.

From your information, it's look you don't know how to set layout ID correctly,, just try all layoutID in AppleALC.kext for ALC269VC

AppleALC.kext.zip

This is on the right track

Front headphone jack gives very distorted sound (mono channel like, exactly like layout 3)

Rear panel now works, but the sound lacks any kind of bass, it's only treble in the sound

I attached the IOREG

Thank you

Use this,, keep using layoutID = 21. Post the result ASAP

AppleALC.kext.zip

The result is the same, but now the sound from rear jack is incredibly boosted, but still without any bass

The front panel is the same, still distorted, undistinguished

I also attached IOREG

Thank you very much for helping me

1. What's your motherboard model and name?
2. Make sure you have used Speaker in rear jack, don't use Earphone in Rear Jack. It's differenct Jack kind i thought
3. Try this kext, post the result

Tried this kext, now the sound doesn't come at all, but the headphones are still detected in Sound Settings

I only have 1 rear jack and 2 front jacks

I have attached the IOREG as well

Edit: I test with a pair of portable speakers and headphones, each jack one by one and then both at same time

Edit 2: My motherboard is Intel B360

Thank you very much

Thank you @Andres ZeroCross for your response!

What is the proper way of setting up layoutID?

Here's what I did:

attempt 1: -installed the AppleALC.kext that you provided to L/E/ using cp -R from terminal

                -sudo kextcache -i /

                -set clover config.plist/devices/audio/inject=21

-reboot, no sound, no output/input detected in sysprefs>sound

attempt 2: -deleted AppleALC.kext from L/E/

                -copied AppleALC.kext to clover/kext/other

                -config.plist/devices/audio/inject=21

                -config.plist/systemparameters/InjectKexts=Yes

                -reboot, no change

-tried config.plist/devices/audio/inject=6 reboot, no change, 13 reboot, no change

I tried the ones from the ALC269VC under info.plist of the AppleALC in github before with the kext in L/E then in kext/others when nothing worked. Still no audio. The only one that worked was the RehabMan 'hotpatch' when I tried config.plist/devices/audio/inject=6 but this method I think involves not only audio fix but a 'collection of fixes'. Until someone told me its ONLY for HP and I might fry my internals.

other info: installed Mojave using [sorry, insanelymac does not support, mybad] along with other USB and essential kexts (fakeSMC, realtek, fakepciid, etc...)

I don't have any idea,, install CodecCommander.kext to Library/Extensions, rebuild kext cache. REMEMBER : you must put Codec COmmander to Library/Extensions no System/Libaray/Extensions.

After that shutdown your pc, then Turn on again, and check your audio.
