AAAaaa no excuse me it was FakeSMC, i forgot to add it in the kext folder, here's the last RehabMan-Kozlek-FakeSMC 2017/10/17_Huronriver-2.41f1, put it on my clover folder and reboot, the AppleALC is the last from vit9696 repos Lillu also.

attachicon.gifFakeSMC-Huronriver 2.41f1.zip

The FakeSMC kexts did the job and got me to boot in MacOS.  ^_^

Headphones and Internal Speakers still working through auto-switching, cannot manual switch between the two.

Also hearing crackling sounds and random volume pops with your clover folder, but I think it's more related to the new AppleALC version since I heard the same thing updating on my original folder? Maybe it affects ALC1220 users?

I think that you have to go to the repos again, and now just see in the ALC1220 folder how many Layout ID's it offers, use them one by one to see if there will be any good change, posting the verbose boot will help to find the trick!

Is something like the attached the verbose boot you are looking for? Or is there some extra config I need add?

Or do you need something like this log from AppleALC debug? (Replaced binary with debug version to do this)

Sorry for pinging again :( just want to see if there's anyone who's managed to achieve manual speaker/headphone selection for ALC1220. Layout 11 with AppleALC works brilliantly but would like to remove the auto sense.

You can try this little applet, it should work with the most realtek codecs. ALCAudioSwitcher.zip

If you prefer to use the Apple menu, I can make an new layout for you.

want to see if there's anyone who's managed to achieve manual speaker/headphone selection for ALC1220.

Following procedure applies to 1220/PlatformsT.xml.zlib/PathMapID: 900 (layout 1):

3. Manual Internal Speaker and Headphone Selection - Displays both Internal Speaker and Headphones audio output devices. Note: An existing audio output device must be deleted to add Headphones as an audio output device.

  1. Edit Platforms.xml/zml
    1. Open Item/PathMapID
    2. Verify PathMapID
    3. Copy the current speaker/headphone (Item 2)
    4. Paste the current speaker/headphone so there are two of the same (Item 0 and 3)
    5. Drag Item 2 up to PathMap - 2 times (moves new item to correct position)
    6. In Item 2, open next level and there are Item 0 and Item 1; delete Item 1 (headphones).
    7. In Item 3, open next level and there are Item 0 and Item 1; delete Item 0 (speakers).
    8. Edit this path map as follows:
      • Current
        • Item 0/NodeID/Number/27
        • Item 1/NodeID/Number/12
        • Item 2/NodeID/Number/2
      • New:
        • Item 0/NodeID/Number/27
        • Item 1/NodeID/Number/38
        • Item 2/NodeID/Number/37
  2. Save, install and restart.

Technique removes Headphone detect and switching.  Can be adapted to other PathMaps.

Hello
I'm trying to make my audio work using AppleALC, but i'm experiencing some problems:

1 - Internal mic don't work at all (speakers works)
2 - If I plug an headphone, audio works on headphone, but if i click on System Preferences > Sound > Input, i get a KP related to audio kext.
3 - HDMI audio don't work too.

VAIO SVF1532L1EB
ALC 233

Layout ID 3 (already tried 13 and 27, same results)
OSX High Sierra 10.13.1
Info.plist attached

Hi,

I have a little problem with AppleALC kext: the selected audio devices doesn't stick on reboot or shutdown. LIke I pick internal speaker, restart the hack, then it default back to headphones. Why is that ?

It's just a minor thing..

Could anyone please help me with this tablet? It is a Conexant CX20724 (please see codec_dump.txt attached).

I'm not getting any sound from internal speaker (not greyed, not HDMI), but headphones work fine.

I've injected layout_id '3' via DSDT (HDAS, with Clover DSDT patch rename HDAS->HDEF). Am also using the latest AppleALC.kext with Lilu.kext. Have also tried AppleHDA Patcher but still no sound from the internal speakers.

Had been trying for months now, would really appreciate if someone could help me, please.

Thanks and regards,

Bubu

I have only a simple german manual for patch AppleHDA for you. Maybe it helps you if you want to learn. https://www.root86.com/blog/40/entry-51-guide-anleitung-patch-applehda/

HDMI audio must be set in the DSDT (hda-gfx, HDAU) or in the Clover settings.

try this:

LayoutID11 (0B in DSDT-HDEF)

what kind of laptop is this? exact name?

I have only a simple german manual for patch AppleHDA for you. Maybe it helps you if you want to learn. https://www.root86.com/blog/40/entry-51-guide-anleitung-patch-applehda/

HDMI audio must be set in the DSDT (hda-gfx, HDAU) or in the Clover settings.

try this:

LayoutID11 (0B in DSDT-HDEF)

what kind of laptop is this? exact name?

Thank you very much MacPeet. My apologies, was desperate for help.

My tablet is a HP Elite X2 1012 G1.

I'll try the layout-11 and report back.

Thanks once again.

Best regards,

Bubu

=======

Edit: Layout-11 didn't work. Same issue, only sounds from headphones, nothing from the internal speakers.

I attach my audio from system profiler, and my ioreg for reference, please....

Thanks and regards,

Bubu

And the inputs? Please always specify all info's of all devices!

IntSpeaker and HP are configured in SwitchMode. If HP is plugged in, then the speakers do not work. Exactly tested? If HP is deducted, no sound on IntSpeaker?

My apologies. Internal speaker does not work with the files you provided, even when HP is not plugged in.

I only get audio when I have HP plugged in; through the HPs.

Please lemme know if I have omitted any other info you may require please.

Appreciate all the help you've dispensed thus far...

And what about the inputs (Mic and LineIn)?

Not sure if I understood you correctly.

I've tested Siri with the Built-in Mic, it works with your files.

I'm picking up inputs (from Setting -> Sound) on LineIn... but Siri (I've also made sure to check that Siri takes inputs from the LineIn) doesn't pick up anything I say over LineIn.

When intMic works, it's good.
LineIn probably only with pre-amplified mic or other device.

I do not have much ideas for intSpeaker anymore. Your codec is almost identical to Codec 3 from Mirone.

try this:

hello @vandroiy2012

Thank you for your work.

Another one, codec for Realtek ALC891 for HP Pavilion Power 580-030ng.

LayoutID 11

all works good

can you please added the new codec?

many thanks

Please somebody help me :(

Sound not normal when headphone/headset connected and sound normal after I sleep and wake my laptop

My laptop Dell Inspiron 5458 core i3 5005U
Motherboard Dell.Inc 02X16F

Audio is Realtek ALC3234 (ALC255)
Vendor id 0x10ec0255
Revision id  0x100002

I've try all layout id ALC255 in pinconfig, that the result :
- Layout id 3, 13 and 17 --> in & out speaker and mic internal  work but when I using headphone/headset, the sound is not normal (must sleep and wake my laptop to get it normal)
- Layout id 27 --> in & out speaker work, mic internal not work and same problem with headphone/headset. My laptop will restart when I used layout id 27 for a while
- Layout id 28 --> in & out speaker work, mic internal not work and still same problem with headphone/headset

I've update to last version AppleALC.kect, Lilu.kext and CodecCommander.kext but still have problem with headphone/headset

Can you help me to fix that
