Not too sure if it is related to my files. Check External Mic if you have one

Iirc you can edit the name, not too sure

About CodecCommander, open its plist and you will see an entry named 10ec_0298 aka your Audio DeviceID using property of ALC283 which has the same problem as your Codec

For the Probook, use Rehabman's guide, you will have everything working correctly. For the desktop, I will take a look at the dump in a few hours

Hi, can I ask? If I install AppleALC.kext and Lilu.kext on /EFI/Clover/kexts/other/. Did I need to disable SIP?

I never did it.

But in some cases is always good to have the SIP disabled.

Well, here I can tell. I very rarely disable SIP for my own reasons, and yes, Lilu and AppleALC (and all the other plugins) work just fine and are supposed to with SIP enabled when installed to ESP (EFI/Clover…).

Great, I don't have to reboot everytime I want to update nVidia Web Driver.

I don't know if this is the right place to ask this question but this is where the Github repository points to I guess.

I installed the hackintosh following a hackintosher guide that helped me get to where I am, and the guide is what got me to use AppleALC. It instructs to set the layout id in the config to 11 since the motherboard I'm using is the MSI Z270 Carbon Pro that comes with a Realtek ALC1220.

Everything works, but I wanted to see if I could actually have the Internal Speakers and Headphone outputs as two individual outputs rather than relying on the auto switch? I like having both the speakers and headphones connected and I prefer switching manually. Maybe it's just a matter of switching layout in the config.plist?

Thanks again for your work on this project btw! Helps for people like me who's a potato at this whole hackintosh business.

Just wanted to ping my original post in case it was accidentally skipped. Maybe I need to provide files that will help or I need to read an FAQ regarding asking for help? Thanks again!

Hi vusun123! Thanks for the reply ^_^

I tried what you suggested and took a step further by trying all the other layouts (1,2,5,7) but none of the layouts showed possible manual selection between headphones and internal speakers (have to stay unplugging headphones). And whilst checking some even gave me weird pops or variable volume whilst playing music.

I don't know if they might help but I've attached my current clover folder, my ioreg export and a screenshot of my current output devices list.
