spakk
very doubtful whether we will resolve the problem by the kernel. I have no more ideas. And much unnecessary time has passed. Please test this alternative. This article deals with missing menu bar icons, that is although another problem. the user "macjack" describes how to fix that and the user "c warren" (September 30, 2012 06:43) describes how he has solved the missing menu bar icons, can anyone test this with his hackintosh? read here: https://discussions.apple.com/message Edit from Shaneee: It could be SystemUIServer which is a background process that specifically controls the right hand side of the menu bar where those menu extras are. This process should return it to default. Then add back what you like. Go to your Finder "Go" menu hold the option key to choose "Library". Then go to the Preferences folder and find and delete com.apple.systemuiserver.plist. Then go to the By Host folder also inside your Preferences folder and delete com.apple.systemuiserver.plist (also any with numbers). Then log out and back in, or restart.
kbwojo
Spakk I will try some of those things later, I just wanted to thank you for the effort it is very appreciated, you too Shaneee. With both your kernels the system still runs great and is very functional. I am more than happy having a running system than nothing at all.

Just some missing symbols in the new sources. I'll upload a fresh System.kext with my next kernel. Ok guys give this one a go. I've bundled the matching System.kext for the new sources. spakk
hi steparab,I have built kernels with XD function and without, which unfortunately led not change the icons problems. Edit: I have checked the sourcecode again, I have found a few oversights regarding the AMD instructions and corrected these, but I can not say with security whether these changes can bring influence on the icons. the kernel needs to be tested to be able to make a statement....see Appendix Edit2: Furthermore, I would like ask if anyone has done this experiment, and with what resultat. steparab
Edit2: Furthermore, I would like ask if anyone has done this experiment, and with what resultat. Did that long time ago, it was from my first attempts to fix the menu bar icons, it failed, anyway it's something more general. SystemUiserver is responsible for the right menubar running programs but we missing finder icons safari icons mail icons --Lots of Icons--- now some 3rd party apps can load their icons correctly but those icons are custom icons that reside inside their resources folder(i mean they are not calling them from iconservices cache or directly from the system because those icons are not standard back-forward arrows or other icons that have a basic apple id and that smells like a permission/security feature on El Capitan ).On the other hand lots of 3rd party apps can't load their icons like apple apps too and that's the confusing thing, and i don't think that apple got in the trouble to sign all those icons with apple id's (but who knows with those guys O.o).My guess is iconservices either don't have permission to read the icons correctly and caching them correctly instead it reads blank icons or placeholders (btw the icons are there and not broken if you go to the appropriate folders you'll find the icons and you can open them with preview and edit and save them) or it's affected by something else too and that goes back to the kernel i think.
kbwojo
Spakk or Shaneee, when you first created your profiles did you have the mouse problem like some others where you had to place your cursor above the continue key to click and create your user profile on first boot. I ask because although the cursor for me is working normal within the desktop environment, when I went to create a second user just now to see if that would change the issue (didn't work still a glitch) I had to once again click above continue when creating the second user profile. I saw other people were having this problem during first boot also and wonder if it was all amd cpus or just the amdfx users that had to do this. Just thinking maybe an alignment problem, I know I am grasping at straws, but at this point you never know.
spakk
the problems with the mouse come on to my knowledge only with Asus boards, that has nothing to do with the CPU.

I've seen it on Asus, Gigabyte and other boards. Edit: Please test this kernel Shaneee-XSAVE-2.zip
