osx151212
Hello,OS: OSX Yosemite / OSX El CapitanMB: ASUS P5GC-MX/1333Codec chip: ALC883Codec Linux: ALC662Bootloader: Clover V2Partition: EFILayout ID: 5 -- patched into DSDT.aml and tried Clover DSDT patch on the fly without DSDT file Status: Yosemite / El Capitan boots Unresolved issues: sound, sleep, FaceTime/iMessageI am trying to get ALC662 working on P5GC-MX/1333 mainboard through AppleHDAPatcher v1.1 with Vanilla AppleHDA.kext and aDummyHDA.kext for Clover bootloader but no success so far.AppleHDAPatcher v1.1 was used to generate aDummy.kext and config.plist portion to be embedded onto actual file.aDummy.kext was placed onto /Volumes/EFI/EFI/CLOVER/kext/10.10 directory for Yosemite.(tried on other HDD with El Capitan installation in directory 10.11 as well) A portion of config.plist was embedded onto /Volumes/EFI/EFI/CLOVER/config.plist. http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/files/file/496-applehda-patcher/DSDT.aml file was patched with generated (by AppleHDAPatcher v1.1) DSDT patch and put into /Volumes/EFI/EFI/CLOVER/ACPI/patched -- DSDT.aml and SSDT.aml provided as attachment to this post for review.Computer was rebooted, "System Report" indicates under Audio -- Audio ID 5, as it should be for mainboard layout (3 audio ports on the back of the mainboard) -- screenshot provided. System Preferences -> Audio -> Output and Input is empty -- screenshot provided.I do not have full understanding what is going on and would appreciate an assistance in resolution of this problem. The ultimate goal is to use aDummy.kext and vanilla AppleHDA.kext.The actual codec chip on the mainboard is ALC883 but in Linux it is identified as ALC662 and codec.txt file is provided for review. ======================================================================================================== NOTE:Only successful attempt was achieved by following other aproach:I followed next tutorial ( http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/298663-applehda-for-yosemite/)where I downloaded AppleHDA-272.18.1-ALC662.zip from and applied HDEF patch (DTPG was not required -- both patches provided for a review) taken from http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/295001-guide-to-patch-applehda-for-your-codec/webpage.I got sound of good quality but not through vanilla AppleHDA.kext and next update will require to go through same procedure -- least desired route. carbo178
Have you tried to insert IRQ patch into dsdt? Try this attached DSDT, but i don't know if working... HDEF is enabled in bios? I think the dsdt patch into "Mirone Audio" folder is a bit different... and without dtgp DSDT-aml.zip

My Clover cannot see the El Capitan partition, only the Recovery HD How you set the IDE/SATA on BIOS? Thanks in advance
