Hi.  When trying to boot my El Capitan installer made using Shanee's guide (minus fakesmc and nullcpu kexts) and in verbose I get

still waiting for root device

If I use the bootflag USBBusFix=Yes In Enoch's pre OS X boot (where it shows kernel booter, detected lan, etc), and doesn't seem to prgress any further

Specs are in my sig, Bootlader is Enoch, Bootflags are:

-v

-x

GraphicsEnabler=No

npci=0x3000

Thanks for your help. :)

-XtremeHacker

@@Lathos, nope.

When this error occurs "..... waiting for root device" then try the following ==> take out the USB flash disk from the USB slot and insert the USB Flash Disk in another USB slot....then the boot process should be continued.

This is not the fine art, I have that once made this way.

It is not good news.

the content of the kernel is identical and based on Bronya's kernel 10.9.4 for FX Cpu :(

...it would be good, if could test someone and confirm, I hope a positive report.

You want that I try or I wait?

then install the CUDA drivers or WebDriver, then boot with nvda_drv=1
unless you've installed an Nvidia graphics card????
It's lot written (in your signature), very much lowercase but even if I have my reading glasses on, I can not say with security !!

but this is an issue which belongs to the help toppic!
please take care that only kernel development-related dialogues should to be written here! I thank for your consideration

I'm actually not sure if it's the kernel or boot flags, I'm used to dealing with Intel, sorry. Yes, I'm using Nvidia GeForce GPU 650. This is my temp build until I get the i7 6 core so if I can't get it to work I can just try Windows 10 (hate the charms though).

I restored the old one that worked and am attempting to get that working again (used enoch to replace bootloader). This is the install USB, just have it on the SSD because my flash drive died. So I'm not sure how to install Cuda on that.

I need some information about your graphics card:
Nvidia GeForce 650 GPU
Vram: ? ==> I suspect 2GB
What connections does your graphics card?
1) DVI-I / DVI-I
2) VGA / DVI-I === > ?
3) DVI-I / VGA

then use these org.chameleon.boot.plist

</dict>

1) if you should have not installed the WebDriver, then change the boot flag from nv_drive=1 into ==> nv_disable=1

2) write the correct graphics resolution into the boot.plist

3) If should your graphics card have other connections as well Vram, then write the exact values

You've got everything set Correctly in BIOS?
Which Fake USB driver do you use? and what other drivers do you use? It is difficult to make a remote diagnosis.

AMD FX 6300

GA-970A-DS3P (newer board, perhaps the problem?)

EVGA 650 Nvidia Geforce

16 GB (but DDR3 1333 not 1600 until I get tax refund)

Thermaltake 650W PSupply

Hope I remembered everything.

have you tested the org.chameleon.boot.plist?
do you use a DSDT?

I don't use a DSDT for the AMD, can't find one for the motherboard guess because it's newer. I use a Samsung SSD and an older Intel SSD. Should I go back to a flash drive?

I got it to work on bios awhile back, then saved it, used SuperDuper to backup. Then after I restored it  use Enoch to replace bootloader, it won't work otherwise (even though it did before). Tried different bios and kernels since then and boot flags. I'm wondering if I need to get a 750W power supply. But won't be able to until I get refund (which may be awhile according to the news). Hard for me to save otherwise since I pay for internet and phone.

Boot flags:

amdfx -v

-f

npci=0x2000 (tried 3000)

cpus=1 dart=0

GraphicsEnabler=No -x

PCIRootUID=1 (Tried 0 too)

USBBusFix<=Yes

In bios I got it to work with almost everything enabled, but after I restored it wouldn't go past gray screen. I've tried other settings as well.

install the DSDT Editor.app or MacIASL.app then export a raw DSDT and then install the IORegistryExporer.app or iOJones.app and export the ioreg-file, and upload both files here, then we will see.

Use the org.chameleon.boot.plist, that I have described above and edit the bootfag for your system in: -v -f npci=0x2000 nv_disable=1 GraphicsEnabler=No  usekernelcache=No

update: i added my hd 5450 radeon on /extra/extensions folder with or without them the same problem: disabled contine or "next"  button

Hi !

Try kernel_rc2_all and kernel_rc2_FX_without_opemu .

You can try only kernel without this System.kext ...

I added symbols and no gets error for symbols ...

attachicon.gifkernel_10.11.2_rc2_all.zip

attachicon.gifkernel_10.11.2_rc2_FX_without_opemu.zip

1. kernel_10.11.2_rc2_all - the same graphics bugs.

2. kernel_10.11.2_rc2_FX_without_opemu - the same graphics bugs.

same here as bennington reported ,deleted all caches S/L/Caches Library/caches /user/librarry/cahes :( It looks like it loads previously corrupted icons. You know some command to rebuild the icons?

Sysctl report.

thx for report

1. Alter the Sleeping mode
By default, when closing the lid on a MacBook, the content of the RAM (random-access memory) is saved to disk for safety. The RAM is still powered on however, and is used when starting up again. The content saved on disk is only used in case of a power loss.

• This behavior can be changed so that ram content is not saved to disk.
$ sudo pmset -a hibernatemode 0
This means that the laptop will never enter DeepSleep (or hibernation, that is the RAM is always powered and in the event of a power loss the state is lost), and in this case the sleepimage /var/vm/sleepimage can also be removed.

• The default setting (SafeSleep) can be restored with:
$ sudo pmset -a hibernatemode 3 ==> In my case is the default value hibernatemode 0 and my graphics work without green icons

Sory, I was assuming that you have entered a different value ...you have the same value as on my system
