cmanns
Ok so Matthew's SSDT (and his clover config) give me 1.20ghz to 4.1ghz! It also hangs around x35 to x41 mult during geek bench, this is with all power management enabled on the Asus BIOS side (EIST, Speedstep, EPU)also without Null CPU, without Kernel PM, without patch Apple PM, without Asus PM patch, without kernel support cpu, without Haswell-E fix. Now to up the mult in bios closer to x45 and see how goes USB 3.1 is working in Sierra. Im in Capitan because my GPU is not supported in 10.12. Everything what you need for working audio is in my EFI folder. I'll promptly try Sierra again, I just want my USB ports lol found out American Truck Simulator works with OS X but don't have spare ports for wheel pedals and shifter !btw 8/19/16 12:42:36.000 PM kernel[0]: AppleALC: alc @ layout-id was not provided by controller at HDEF Oh and figured out long time mem map problems using you Asus X99 guy's clover configs, I need that OsxAptioFix2Drv-free2000.efi. Hell I swapped my entire 10.11 folder nearly with yours now HW sensors shows more info and very good- plopped your entire 10.12 now just need to figure out how to fix boot cache's on my 10.12 install, or reinstall. Also on a side note Matthew did you ever have problems with 2x GPU on that Asus X99 your sig mentions 2x R9- I had absolutely no luck even with custom SSDT to run 1x R9 270X primary and 1x GTX650 secondary, had to drop the R9 270X it couldn't do more then two displays in Windows anyways else I'd of dropped the GTX650. I wonder if its related to OSXAptioFixdrv instead of DSDT/SSDT
Matthew82
Apply only patch from "Kernel to patch" In bios disable only EIST. I have hybrid cooling system and x45 working wery well. This config is only tested with El Capitan. dual 290x working without any problem in 10.11. In 10.12 there is only beautiful black screen
AsusFreak
Hi Sammlers I try this DP6 better Score I like this Thank you ver much. Without NullCPUPowerManagement.kext Without VoodooTSCSync.kext @nmano - yep your kernel patch works fine here though I don't see an advantage using it vers. having Clover patch it on boot. Matthew82
Once I boot to Sierra and there was info in "system information" showing USB 3.1. I made a a test with WD cloud and it was working. ergot
For X99 board you can use(test) this config (running my X99 Deluxe perfect) _xcpm_bootstrap Sierra © Pike R. Alpha Find 20B9E20000000F30 Replace 20B9E20000009090 and use no other clover kernel patches (Asus AICPUPM, KernelPm ....) and use no clover Acpi PM or SSDT options EDIT: generate your own SSDT for example: ~/ssdtPRGen.sh -b Mac-27ADBB7B4CEE8E61 -turbo 4500 (your OC setting!) IS that can work with Xeon Haswell CPU? I have tried that, removing NullCPU and VoodoTCS, XCPM can load my Intel Power Gadget shows PM correctly but it was showing also when not using kernel patches only using NullCPU and voodooTCS kexts, the issue with the kernel patches is sleep...when even i wake the system it auto restart, when using nullCPU and voodoo kexts system wake up normally and still Intel power gadget show me nice PM states (well my CPU is ES so not sure if all states are working), Geekbence results are same with the patch and without the patch, bottom line is that OK to leave the hack with NullCPU and voodoo instead of patches? or there is a patch to fix the auto restart...? macandrea
I had some stability issues with all Sierra DP versions on my setup (i7 5820k, ASUS X99/A 3.1). I patched the Kernel as per Pike's blog comments in: XCPM for unsupported Processor… Specifically the comment below: To get a stable system, please read this blog article. I would start by disabling the 0x01A0 and 0x01AA MSR’s. You can do that by replace DC 33 00 00 with 00 00 00 00 I disabled the 0x01A0 and 0x01AA MSRs and system seems to be very stable. XCMP enabled, Geekbench score >27000 (3k more than El Capitan) overclocked @4.6 GHz. On a side note: Apple Logic performance issues disappeared with DP6 (I had CPU spikes resulting in overloads with DP5).
