http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/313681-xcpm-for-unsupported-processor-yosemite-el-capitan-sierra/ opened three weeks ago. Furthermore, we don't have enough elements to be sure about a Clover failure, right now

You are correct.  My comment was taken way out of context.  I meant that I was using Clover, Pike was using his own Revoboot.  He was unable to come to any conclusions in our very brief (unfinished) email conversation based on the fact it wasn't the bootloader he was using.  I surely didn't mean to ruffle any feathers, offend anyone or "place blame" - only trying to weed thru different variables....

There must be a misunderstanding. No blames, here. That's what I'm talking about: we can't blame clover, at least not yet. Pike's doubt it's just a supposition, and I trust the man. But still, until I'm not sure, I won't point any finger.

Yeah, I think that comment was more directed at me.  I re-read (and then edited) my post above, which did appear to be blatantly pointing fingers - absolutely was not my intention.  I edited it to reflect what I was actually trying to communicate.  No blame here either!!  Let's move on, shall we?  We should take this over to your post Gia...

^^^ Agree.... I not even certain what this "It is a problem with Clover it seems." relates to. All I've seen in weeks of post claiming XCPM for unsupported processors and have yet seen anyone make it work. nmano claims it works with his patched kernel but it didn't work for me, and he's still using null so that's questionable. Great respect for Pike yet he gave the system away, have any of us downgraded because we had too much power? Just sayin...

Yep, OT here...

EDIT: One last question for any one of you... What board ID/Freq Vec should I be using for the 6900K?

SMBIOS is tied to the motherboard, not the CPU.

Must be started with clover without SMBios Set

Clover attributed the following SMBios your motherboard

For example for my X99-A is known for an iMac 14.2

So with freqVectorsEdit I inject iMac 14.2

hi,

i haven't patch my kernel

You have 5930K, it's same as 5820K

here is my config.plist

Ps:@Mano

The DSDT too strong, but I'm too bad with the DSDT

Thanks, and you used freqVectors 14,2? If so I'll test it and hope for the best. The Gig board bios may not function like the Asus.

yes i used freqVectors 14,2

Gigabyte boarb no need AsusAicpupm in config.plist

And need in driver EFI64 AptioDRVfree2000, i think

Thanks, the new Gig bios boots fine with the standard OxsAptioFixDrv-64.

At first glance it looks like XCPM is loading fine:

But I don't understand X86PlatformPlugin loading but source unknown.

post-922667-0-80136200-1471593360_thumb.png

At idle it no longer drops to 12 and bounces around at cpu default clock.

post-922667-0-81092700-1471593518_thumb.png

At load it never maxes cpu.

post-922667-0-63407500-1471593566_thumb.png

I'd like to figure this out, on the other hand I can load Null and idle @12 and max @42 so it's not a crisis...

Thanks for the help, any ideas please send my way...

Ken

EIST disabled, no Voodoo or Null, same result... Might be a bios thing, just don't know. Will keep testing and post back, thanks for your help...

Well Done SammlerG

Thanks to both of you, can't tell ya how much I appreciate the help! Now I'll have to learn how to figure out the find and replace data when OS updates come around, haha. It's 5:30 am here and have my first service call in 2 1/2 hours, think I better crash... (Damn I hate still screwing around with MS)... Thanks again...  :P

Wow! I crashed last night myself.  I guess you guys made some major progress here... Great.  I wish I had half the Hack knowledge you guys do.

Yep, OT here...

About this (this is the last time I will comment on it) but I just want to be clear that I was the one who stated "It is a problem with Clover it seems", not Pike or anyone else.  I think there maybe was some misunderstanding here.  I shouldn't have said anything lol...

Moving on...  I'm going to move away from 10.11.6 and go to Sierra.  I will be using PB vs. DP, that being said...

SammlerG:

I have another favor to ask... Can you be as kind as to translate Pike's patch to the 6900K/PB5 for me as you did for El Cap a few days ago?
