hashish.k
I am dual booting windows and OSX Elcapitan 10.11.1 on my build with following a) i5-6600 b ) gigabyte z170x-UD5, with modified f4 bios to disable the IOAPIC c) internal graphics HD530 d) 8gb Crucial ddr4 2133 mhz e) windows (micron 1J1) and OSX (OCZ ARC 100) on 2 separate SSDs Every time I reboot my computer whether windows or OSX there is a new boot option added to my BiOS. When there are too many boot options on the BiOS when I press F12 to boot from my USB it just resets and restarts the computer. I go into the bios and try to change the boot order to boot from USB, I am not allowed to do it. what I tried: a) I disabled the sata port connected to the OSX SSD. Then restarted the computer but my motherboard BIOS does not see the SSD and I cannot reenable the SSD without having to clear the CMOS. b ) The only way to reset this was to remove the OSX boot SSD and boot to BIOS and then shut the computer and reconnect the OSX SSD back. I could not find a solution to this online and am thinking this is related to clover bootloader. While not a terrible inconvenience, any help in solving this will be greatly appreciated. Screen shots of the bios are attached.

blankmac
On another note -- I'm assuming you have graphics acceleration with the HD530 and, if so, did you have to do anything in particular to get it functioning? Thanks.

Thanks. No i don't think i have graphics acceleration. This is my first build. I get some garbling of graphics when I use safari and when playing youtube at the top and the bottom. Contemplating getting a cheap NVDIA card to resolve this issue.

Einsteiniac
I am getting the same thing on my UD5-TH board as well on my SM951. There is an F3 firmware for that board that I am not sure if my machine has yet that I will try tomorrow and see.

hashish.k
solved. This has already been discussed on the following thread. I found out about this thread from the other hackinstosh forum, where the guide is in a little more detailed format. Apparently too many boot options will eventually cause problems while booting http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/307457-getting-very-frustrated-disappearing-boot-options-uefi-os/ Thanks to trioset for figuring this out. edit: alternatively use the easyuefi within the windows and delete all unnecessary options. http://www.easyuefi.com/index-us.html http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/306429-guide-msi-h81m-motherboards-basics-of-a-computer-build-budget-hackintosh-builds-uefi-dualboot-os-x-el-capitan-wip/ Thanks to ghostraider for his guide.
