marco.pisellonio80
Hi all. I installed El Cap in the notebook in signature. Clover legacy, patched DSDT, after adding patched kext for my laptop all is perfect, graphics, audio, all. But... it does'nt shutdown, lights and fans remain turned on. I tried: 1) To change External HD 2) knowing about new way to use USB in El Cap, I thought it could depend from usb, so I changed internal 2,5 HD with another one, cloned partitions, booted but nothing. 3) Add "FixShutdown" in config.plist, tried even with SIP enabled and disabled 4) Add a newer shutdown patch in DSDT (thanks gengik84), nothing 5) In 10.11 GM I tried to put evoreboot.kext (in SLE and in 10.11 kext folder in EFI), but I had KP. In final 10.11 version I didn't do it. Here are my DSDT http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/index.php?app=core&module=attach§ion=attach&attach_id=170702 and config.plist. http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/index.php?app=core&module=attach§ion=attach&attach_id=170701 To a better knowledge, kext I need in EFI are ApplePS2Elantouchpad.kext, of course FakeSMC, Wifiinjector and jmc250.kext, for lan. This is the post in italian forum http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/308512-osx-1011-no-spegnimento-asus-x52f/ Thank you all.

I'am using rehabman fork of voodoops2, but since him was synaptic, elan support was minimal. Thanks in advance

I have the same issue after update to 10.11 (it worked fine since 10.8-10.10), now sleep and shutdown doesn't work properly, but if i disable usb it works. Now I'm looking for solution for usb fix. btw same chipset hm55 (almost same laptop n53jn 2010)...

marco.pisellonio80
Yes, I try with external HD, but this is not a problem, I have another 2,5 HD to test, I can change internal one. Anyway I need usb ports, but I will try. Ehm... the sleep... never tried! Usually (always) I boot and when I finish I shutdown. I'll inform you.
