Dakdot
Hello. I've been having a problem with Clover or OS X itself, it's hard to tell which, because I've literally never seen this. Anyway, I recently bought myself a new Dell (Inspiron 15 5000, Intel Core i5-5200U, 8GB RAM, Intel HD 6000 Graphics, Nontouch, Windows 10 Home). I have created a restore disk in Windows in case things go wrong, and backed up my data. So I really wanted to install OS X to it, but I've seen Yosemite a lot and have missed Mavericks, so I decided to try and install that. Last night, the 21st, I used DiskMaker X 4b5 to create a Mavericks installer from my current Yosemite desktop. Twice it gave me Error Code 1, then it gave me some other error. So I called it a night and moved on. Then today, I used my iMac with Yosemite to create a DIskMaker X 4b5 installer, then used DiskMaker X 3.0.4, then used the createinstallmed command twice. For the first five tries, I used the lastest version of Clover (9/22/2015) and then used the lastest non-2.3k version for the last two tries. For each failed attempt below that doesn't have an error, it worked fine and dandy, Clover comes up, I select the installer but the screen shows this in verbose mode, and does nothing. CTRL+ALT+DEL does nothing either. efiboot loaded from device: Acpi(PNP0A03,0/Pci14|0)/Usb(1,0)/HD(Part2,Sig35ADA88A-1DC8-4147-8DOD-EEC394BF67CE) boot file path: .IABootFiles\boot.efi ..Loading kernel cache file '\.IABootFiles\kernelcache'... .................. root device uuid is '6474A87B-F7FE-3752-9275-D36E71E92E74' +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ Failed Attempts [1] Using Clover v2.3k r3270, Created Via DiskMaker X 4b5, on Hackintosh, Error 1 [2] Using Clover v2.3k r3270, Created Via DiskMaker X 4b5, on Hackintosh, Error 1 [3] Using Clover v2.3k r3270, Created Via DiskMaker X 4b5, on Hackintosh, Error Unknown [4] Using Clover v2.3k r3270, Created Via DiskMaker X 4b5, on iMac [5] Using Clover v2.3k r3270, Created Via DiskMaker X 3.0.4, on iMac [6] Using Clover v2k r3142, Created Via createinstallmed, on iMac, Undetected by Laptop [7] Using Clover v2k r3142, Created Via createinstallmed, on iMac Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/308164-clover-uefi-boot-problem/ Share on other sites

Could be Mavericks just being a non cooperative operating system at the moment.
