randomusername00
Hi, I have downloaded the GMc of El Cap from the app store, set it to install to my hard drive, and rebooted Kernel panic ensued in IOUSBHostFamily.kext (http://i.imgur.com/0KAQN1p.jpg) My config: - Asus Z97 deluxe - Samsung 850 Pro - MSI GTX GeForce 970 - Clover r3259 These are my kexts in /EFI/CLOVER/kexts/10.11 AppleHDA.kext BrcmBluetoothInjector.kext FakeSMC.kext GenericUSBXHCI.kext IOUSBFamily.kext WifiInjector.kext bcm4352.kext My config.plist includes rootless=0, kext-dev-mode=1, and I think I also got the Csr variables right: <key>RtVariables</key> <dict> [...] <key>CsrActiveConfig</key> <string>0x67</string> <key>BooterConfig</key> <string>0x28</string> </dict> Does anyone have ideas on how to proceed from here? Thanks!

HBP
run the installer from a USB2 port, the above Error is common when trying to install from USB3 without real support. also expect that you will have an error when applying (using USB3 ports) until kexts catch up to El Cap. randomusername00
Alright, I finally had a free morning to figure this one out The problem was the ASMedia controller on my motherboard. I disabled that in the BIOS, and then I had a fairly smooth install straight from the App Store updater. Everything seems to be in order, including audio, 5G WiFi and Bluetooth These are my current kexts in CLOVER/kexts/10.11 AppleHDA.kext FakeSMC.kext WifiInjector.kext BrcmPatchRAM2.kext IntelMausiEthernet.kext bcm4352.kext

randomusername00
This used to happen to me before disabling the ASMedia controller in the BIOS. I don't know if your motherboard has one of those, but it's worth looking at. I have this panic in boot (I'm trying to upgrade from Yosemite to El Cap). Can you help me?
