Have you tried mounting the EFI?

 

Thank Jaymack... Yes, i do, but clover  don`t show the EFI partition,  does not appear.

 

 

* Yesterday, apple launched Sierra 10.12.4, i do update the system, is Ok, is stable and very fast... Photoshop CC 2017 don`t accept hard accelerate.. Anyone having the same problem.

 

* Yesterday, Nvidia launched Alternate Graphics Drivers for macOS 10.12.4

Do not modify the config.plist, change  

nvda_drv=1    for

<key>NvidiaWeb</key>

<true/>

 

Although they recommend doing so, for me nvda_drv=1 work excelent..

Hi friends, i need to update Clover,  That is, to install on the EFI partition(ESP) and not on the main partition. What is the process...When clover displays the "Where to install" options, the EFI partition does not appear.

What do you mean by the main partition, is that where you have OS X installed?  Install Clover to the partition where you have OS X. In Clover only choose whatever the name of that partition is. Install using defaults only. It will install to the EFI.       See screenshot.

I've tried to install drivers to my HP Z400, OSX 10.11.6, but I have this messages, and I can't install it:

 

I think that with this option I enable SIP, don't?

Have you not installed EL Capitan? You need Nvidia Web Drivers for your version of OS X.

Yes... updated... Thanks Jaymack...

This is correct...Clover mount the EFI partition auto, create backup in the macOS partition and update EFI..

I need a graphics card for the z800 as my one does not have one. What one should I look at to buy??

 

I will be looking to install Sierra on it hopefully

Good Evening Rockey, and everyone. I hope I can get some help with what is turning out to be a very arduous weeklong endeavor of trying to get Sierra to even install on my Z800. I have so far managed to get the BIOS settings to be exactly as Rockey has them, and have the USB bootable with clover and necessary kexts. The problem is that I end up getting a "(com.apple.appkit.xpc.sandboxServiceRunner) <Warning>: the JoinExistingSession key is only available to application services" error. 

 

I have gotten my clover, kexts, DSDT, as well as the config.plist from a guide that is on here for the z800. I was wondering if there was something on there that is stopping it from going any further. I am adding them below for anyone to check and get back to me. I have spent many many hours trying to get this to install, but no luck. Any help will be appreciated

 

System Specs if anyone is curious

2x X5670

256GB micron SSD(connected to regular SATA ports and not SAS ports)

48GB 1333 DDR3 ECC Ram (4GB x12)

Firepro V5900 graphics card

Thank you so much for your help. I am going to try this right now. Are there any boot arguments that you recommend I run to ease the process(raise the likelihood of success)?

 

update: I replaced my original files with the one's that you fixed for me. I still got the same sandbox joinexistingsession error. I wonder if I need to use a specific boot argument

I've got my GT 730 working, and sleep works too.

 

Is there any need for a DSDT file?

 

Also, what sound kext/drivers are people using? I'm using VoodooHDA, but the sound seems really low even if I put it up on the highest level?

Good news so far. I have gotten much further than I have ever gotten before. I first decided to fully re-do the installation USB, and then add all of the files that you have posted for me to use. I am hoping no other problems pop up after install. I do assume that I will have to install some kexts and drivers correct?

Update: Sierra seems to have installed fine, but when I try to start it up through the clover screen it stops at "DSMOS has arrived" then says "prevent idle sleep list: IODisplayWrangler+ (1)".

 

Is this a graphics card issue at this point?

 

Update #2: looked online for fix. For anyone else who has this problem, I went back to my USB stick, and moved all of the kexts that were in the 10.12 folder, and moved them to a newly created "Other" folder. I deleted the 10.12 folder afterwards. It got me past the error.

after the installation is complete you can install this   Archive.zip 1.86MB  above for the Audio  and also you can change the SMBios  to Mac pro 5.1  :thumbsup_anim:  :thumbsup_anim:  Enjoy your HackMac

A HUGE thank you for all of the time and effort that you put into helping me get this hackintosh finished. It was actually an early birthday present for my Niece. I will install what is in the archive, and see if I can change the smbios to make it a Mac pro 5,1.

 

 

 

Update: Well my machine decided to bootloop after I switched to Mac Pro SMBIOS. Damn finnicky machine

I've tested your patch, but I had the same result. Although I've bought a PCI firewire, it didn't recognise my sound card by PCI firewire or built-in firewire...

 

Now I can see the new PCI in hardware list:
