sebinouse
I've found the reasonS why ! CloverConfigurator 4.23 corrupts my plist The FRAMEBUFFER ... I used for Yosemite was 0A26000A (instead of 0D220003) Clover KextPatch only modifies 3 to 4 of the 5 AzulFB hex (port5 DP>HDMI To be clear, no changes to HD 4600/HD5000/Iris Pro Graphics in 10.11 from 10.10. Your IOJones (10.10.3 and 10.11) confirmed the framebuffer edits were working, however, 10.11 HD 5000 Audio controller was disabled. Never experienced a Clover Configurator corruption problem nor Clover patching fewer than the expected patch instances. For HDMI audio, the 10.1.3 config.plist works in 10.11. Why 0A26? No 0A26 0009 in 10.10.3 or 10.11, there is 0D26 0009 (LVDS only). Only matters to patch the framebuffer being loaded. Patched framebuffers that don't load are ignored. Just a little feedback about my experience on ALC283 and Intel-HD5000 and the previous posts : - ALC283 works like a charm with Headphone and Microphone - EAPD/CodecCommander is needed to keep the codec alive. If not the sound becomes poor (sum of both channels on both sides !) - Clover Configurator autonomously adds Kernel patches "no" if they are absent from your plist, and this disable the automatic patches of Clover upon detection during boot ... thus the corruption ! - the Clover "KextsToPatch" has always been woking, the reason why I had wrong number of patches was the residual use of PikeRAlpha'script to patch framebuffers : my bad ! - Intel-HD5000 HDMI audio works with 0d220003 and 0a26000d but with a different patch ! (took me 6 months to find out that a different pipe was needed) 0d220003 : Bios = 32Mo Find 0105 0900 0004 0000 8700 0000 Replace 0105 0900 0008 0000 8700 0000 0a26000d : Bios > 96Mo Find 0105 0900 0008 0000 0701 0000 Replace 0105 1200 0008 0000 0701 0000 I'll try with 0a26000a and see if something has changed between 10.10 and 10.11 now ... EDIT : done ... patch is different for 0a26000a between 10.10 and 10.11 so something has change ! 0a26000a : 10.10 Find 0105 0900 0004 0000 8700 0000 Replace 0105 0900 0008 0000 0600 0000 0a26000a : 10.11 Find 0105 0900 0004 0000 8700 0000 Replace 0105 1200 0008 0000 0600 0000

sebinouse
?? How do kernel patches effect kext patches? if the hack doesn't boot you don't need kext patches ... that's a fact ... the whole plist was modified not the kext patches part ... TheRacerMaster
?? How do kernel patches effect kext patches? I think he's trying to say that Clover Configurator sets every option in config.plist (even the default/autodetected values), which breaks autodetected patches; for example, Clover will check the MSR 0xE2 bit 15 and automatically enable AsusAICPUPM/KernelPm if it's locked, but only if they're not already set to false.
toleda
I think he's trying to say that Clover Configurator sets every option in config.plist (even the default/autodetected values), Clover Configurator/File/New sets AppleRTC/true only. The Clover Installer installs CLOVER/config.plist the first time it runs; that plist is not bootable, delete. The point is every setting in that plist is visible in Clover Configurator, no corruption.

This is a very accurate description ! Thank you ! There is no real corruption because the file is still valid, but the file is modified without notice which lead in my case to a kernel panic ... we can now close the off-topic ! The good news is that HD5000 can now have a HD5000 framebuffer ... instead of a HD4600 framebuffer ...
TheRacerMaster
Clover Configurator/File/New sets AppleRTC/true only. The Clover Installer installs CLOVER/config.plist the first time it runs; that plist is not bootable, delete. The point is every setting in that plist is visible in Clover Configurator, no corruption. This doesn't seem to be the case. With Clover Configurator/File/New/Save/config.plist, this is what it looks like: <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?> <!DOCTYPE plist PUBLIC "-//Apple//DTD PLIST 1.0//EN" "http://www.apple.com/DTDs/PropertyList-1.0.dtd"> <plist version="1.0"> <dict> ... <key>KernelAndKextPatches</key> <dict> <key>AppleRTC</key> <true/> <key>AsusAICPUPM</key> <false/> <key>Debug</key> <false/> <key>KernelCpu</key> <false/> <key>KernelHaswellE</key> <false/> <key>KernelLapic</key> <false/> <key>KernelPm</key> <false/> </dict> <key>SMBIOS</key> <dict> <key>Trust</key> <false/> </dict> </dict> </plist>

toleda
This doesn't seem to be the case. Actually, you confirmed "Clover Configurator/File/New sets AppleRTC/true only." is accurate with the code block.
sebinouse
Yes AppleRTC/true is the only true addition, but there is also many false addition like for example AsusAICPUPM/false and KernelPm/false which are autodetected by Clover if not set (MSR 0xE2 bit 15 check). In my case this MSR is locked, AsusAICPUPM and KernelPm were not present in my plist because they were detected and used by Clover, and after an edition with CC they were set to false which lead to a KP.
lisai9093
Update my Git Repository: https://github.com/Mirone/AppleHDA_10.11.1 One naive question. Does your patch AppleHDA support HDMI audio? Or I have to do some additional patch to the AppleHDA? Mine is ALC255. Thanks

sebinouse
One naive question. Does your patch AppleHDA support HDMI audio? Or I have to do some additional patch to the AppleHDA? Mine is ALC255. Thanks About AppleHDA patch, I quote Rehabman : FakePCIID_Intel_HDMI_Audio.kext: This kext will attach to 8086:0c0c, 8086:0d0c, and 8086:0a0c The purpose is to provide support for unsupported HDAU (usually called B0D3, but renamed to HDAU to match what Apple expects) devices which provide HDMI-audio on Haswell(+) systems. 8086:0c0c is the unsupported ID. The other two 8086:0d0c, and 8086:0a0c are supported. This kext, AppleHDAController, loads by PCI class, so you normally would not inject device-id for it, but to allow FakePCIID to work, you may need to inject RM,device-id (one of the supported IDs). By default, the kext injects RM,device-id=<0c 0a 00 00> (0x0a0c). You can override it with a DSDT edit. For example (_DSM patch for HDAU device for FakePCIID and HDMI audio, if you wanted 0x0d0c instead of 0x0a0c): into method label _DSM parent_adr 0x00030000 remove_entry; into device name_adr 0x00030000 insert begin Method (_DSM, 4, NotSerialized)\n {\n If (LEqual (Arg2, Zero)) { Return (Buffer() { 0x03 } ) }\n Return (Package()\n {\n "RM,device-id", Buffer() { 0x0c, 0x0d, 0x00, 0x00 },\n "hda-gfx", Buffer() { "onboard-1" },\n })\n }\n end;
lisai9093
About AppleHDA patch, I quote Rehabman : Thanks. But I believe my id is supported by 10.11. So no ID injection is required.
TheRacerMaster
Thanks. But I believe my id is supported by 10.11. So no ID injection is required. Mobile HD 5500 should have working HDMI audio with `hda-gfx` property injection in HDAU device (renamed B0D3) & IGPU device. You may also need framebuffer edits (so your HDMI display is actually seen as HDMI).
