Dogma36
So what are we suppose to be looking at? This is the section where the ram board goes, every time the computers shuts down the red light stays on, the white circle with the red halo is the actual red light. Thanks. Put original RAM back in, see what happens. If no change, likely to be power demands of "new" Nv card. Personally would look to use more efficient, more modest & more modern GPU with very much lower power requirements: TDP of the 570 is around/over 200W, with the original PSU apparently capable of providing 225W for this purpose . . . . all a bit close to the edge for such an elderly box. 1 Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/303378-mac-pro-21-suddently-shuts-down-yosemite/#findComment-2095547 Share on other sites
Dogma36
Hello Shoarthing, I had checked the ram, it seems to be the issue, I had ordered a new ram kit to test, I forgot to mention also, whenever I star an application it launches fine but when I click to open or import a document the computer shuts down immediately, this behavior tells you something?. Thanks. . . . what this 'tells' is pretty obvious, and you know it as well or better than any of us: you have an unstable computer and/or computing environment. Return it to a stable state, then change one component (software/hardware) at a time until it ceases to be stable - then check that component elsewhere/on another system. 1 Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/303378-mac-pro-21-suddently-shuts-down-yosemite/#findComment-2097442 Share on other sites
