Allordcs Posted November 5, 2019 Share Posted November 5, 2019 (edited) I installed macOS Catalina 10.15.1 and everything works like a charm except the battery and the touchpad , if anyone have an idea to make them work I will be grateful . For battery, you have to patch your DSDT. For touchpad, first of all check which touchpad you have. That's great. So touchpad is usually easy. Especially our laptop has PS2 touchpad. I think you have Synaptic touchpad. Mine was ELAN so, the link that I shared earlier worked for me. I have a HP laptop with Synaptic. I used this Voodoo rather than rehabman's https://github.com/acidanthera/VoodooPS2/releases Check this out. That should work. yes , the touchpad that I have is Synaptic , and after testing the voodoop2 doesnt work probably , and appleps2smarttouchpad works partially as I said . Honestly, it was the easiest one to setup. All gestures and everything worked just by placing this kext in Clover. Is your trackpad detected in Preferences? Or it says no trackpad found but it still works. I had the above-described issue earlier. What fixed for me was to generate the DSDT again and applying the patches again. I had messed up earlier something which somehow was affecting the trackpad. If nothing works, remove all your DSDT patches and try booting. Then check if trackpad works. Everything works except the Touchpad(Synaptic). And yet, when I upload via Clover, I lose the image on the laptop screen - but it is on the HDMI monitor. To solve this, I had to go to config.plist/devices/ - and at the bottom delete the item IntelHD4600 - and then the screen works, but it seems to me - not quite correctly. Has anyone encountered these problems? And more.... tell me, which Mac is better to choose in SMBIOS for my configuration? Thanks for your attention. Note: All you need to do is select the proper config.plist < based on screen resolution > then convert all dsl files to aml and put them in this path EFI/Clover/ACPI/patched. that's it.
