Guys my laptop is not booting up last night i just put it on sleep and after an hour when i try to wake it up it was not responding i tried to reboot but still no sucess any help i had done couple of my android and forgot to take backup on github pls help well such issue happens frequently but my hackintosh always boot up after a restart

On first thought I would try what vusun123 said about disabling hibernation since it is predicted that OS will switch from sleep after a while to hibernate if it was not set otherwise. However, you have to be more descriptive about the issue you are having for better support. I understand that English is not the first language for many of us (including me) but still one should try his best to describe the issues clearly. For example, you said you tried to reboot without success but did not say how? If your system does not respond to wake from sleep and you forced power off then on, it should boot up to at least clover. From clover OS X may or may not boot depending on hibernate state (and there is an easy workaround if hibernate was enabled). It is not common that putting system to sleep results in problems with OS X partition so I would set this aside for now.

Moreover, as intruder meant to say, no one here have super powers to sense the problems without details. Some problems are well-known and small amount of evidence is enough for diagnosing them but many problems are not. Therefore, in general, this is my advice whenever anyone try to report a problem:

  • Introduce the problem in clear words
  • Think of the audience as different persons who NEED more information than you think to understand
  • State whether the issue is reproducible and list some of the ways to reproduce it. Sometimes when I can reproduce an issue on my machine I can try few things to solve it which helps.
  • Provide as much information as you can in form of logs, screenshots and/or dumps
  • State the things you have tried and the results you found

I tried from disk utility it said check if some application i already using the disk and yes my update 10 10.3 is downloaded on my yosemite disk do i have to put in my pendrive and then install on my disk what u suggest

Ok. So the image you posted before was captured on verbose boot? Are you using debug version of Battery kext?

Try booting in safe mode and single user mode. If you can boot in single user mode, execute this command "fsck_hfs -r /dev/diskxsx". Replace "diskxsx" with your partition (eg mine is disk0s5). This'll fix the disk verification issues.

Two days before i had this problem where my mac shutdown was not clean and it was stuck on verifying disk at bootup and would shutdown afterwards. I forced it to verify and repair the disk using the commands above.

Can you at least see lenovo logo or something like that, try to go to boomenu and tell what do you see there. You maybe have same issue what I had.

How do I get into single user mode

Can you tell me guys, can you use monitor with VGA? I can't get it to work :(

Nope. The VGA port is disabled / not used as long as we keep using ig-platform-id = 0x0a260006. You can, however, use HDMI-to-VGA connector and it should work.

EDIT:

You can also try to patch AppleIntelFrameBufferAzul.kext to enable the VGA port using Piker-Alpha script.

Intruder 16 i tried but no success dude heres my op

Is that battery kext a real problem

AFAIK, Battery kext shouldn't give any serious problems. Without much details about the problem, i would suggest you to clean install Yosemite.

Use 3rd party software (MacDrive) in Windows to r/w Yosemite partition and backup important files from it before formatting.

As many people already know, 10.10.4 update is released. The updating process went fine on my machine and everything is fine as far as I can see....

Great. Sadly, I won't be able to update soon. So can you share AppleHDA.kext from 10.10.4?

Hey guys, I have a little problem with my Lenovo  y510p and booting Yosemite.

When I try to boot it the BIOS shows me this error message:

EFI USB Device (kingstonDataTraveler 3.0) has been blocked by the current security policy

Well, I have tried with two different flash usb drives and the result is the same. I've searched the forum and the internet I what I found was to disable the "secure boot" or something like this, but in my BIOS(my BIOS ver is up to date) there not such an option.

And here what I try and what I have in my PC:

I have Windows 8.1 installed on m.2 SSD but not in UEFI mode,

I have a second SSD - intel, intalled in place of DVD.

So I've created the USB flash drive almost as the tutorial, but in clover I select EFi option boot option instead of UEFI(firs option in the clover list) and

CloverEFI boot0af in MBR.

So I want to install Yosemite on the Intel SSD, (not on the same ssd with Windows 8.1) and to have both OS on different ssd and to have an option to choose which one to boot. I think I do the right things too bot from the usb, but something's wrong. Can you tell me where are my mistakes on creating the usb flash drive, and eventually the options I choose for my case.

Thank you:)

This message BIOS give you indicates you forgot to disable Secure Boot in BIOS. I'm running the latest BIOS v3.08 and the option is there already as you can see below. Either disable it and follow the guide to install in UEFI mode or keep the current setup which is installing in MBR. I fail to see where the problem is.IMAG0361.jpg

As I already twice told, I have no such option, how to disable it? What could be the problem?

p.s. I added a photo of my BIOS ;)

Thanks for the photo. First I want to admit this is the first time for me to see this so take my next words with grain of salt. I read on some other forums that Secure Boot and UEFI/Legacy options and maybe others only appear in BIOS if there is Windows installed in UEFI (pre-installed as they claim). I'm not sure of this statement but it follow your setup as you don't have a UEFI OS installed at the moment nor you do have UEFI configured external storage.

Try to create an EFI Windows 8 USB Installer and boot into BIOS while the USB is in. If the statement in that forum is correct you should see the options that are missing now. If that's the case, enable UEFI and disable secure boot then install Windows 8 in UEFI mode and follow it with OS X.

On the other hand, continuing with MBR setup should also work and you can use either Clover or Chameleon to select the OS you want even if each on separate disk.

Yes, I didn't have Windows 8.1 installed when I bought the laptop, so I installed it on my own, with EFI options.

Never mind, I think I can disable the secure boot if I change to UEFI mode, maybe these options are hidden when EFI mode is on. Will test it now and will text later. :)

Edit:

Okay, First to see these options you have to be in UEFI more, not in Legacy, secondly maybe after update of the BIOS settings had been broken so I reset both options under secure boot and then disable it and voala booting the flash drive with clover without any issues, but that's it, I have problem with the setup or loading the setup.

Stuck at(waited 10 min and nothing):

This is more or less problem with config.plist. Make sure to read the guide and follow the tried and proven steps.

EDIT:

Also if you go UEFI mode make sure to choose installing Clover for UEFI boot while installing Clover on the USB so proper drivers are setup correctly.

Ok. That's good. Thanks for posting details atlast. It can be solved.

I had guessed you have the same problem i had before. If you see my post #528 you can see that I've already posted a solution for this (i'll quote it here again for you).

Ok. So the image you posted before was captured on verbose boot? Are you using debug version of Battery kext?

Try booting in safe mode and single user mode. If you can boot in "single user mode", execute this command "fsck_hfs -r /dev/diskxsx". Replace "diskxsx" with your "Yosemite" partition (eg mine is disk0s5). This'll fix the disk verification issues

The underlined statement is the same problem you are having. Try the solution I've highlighted in blue.

With the command running, the program will try to fix the issues again (if not solved in 1 pass). Expect atleast three iterations. If there are still issues run the command again until it's solved.

For example, in the image you posted above, the program (fsck_hfs) tries to fix issues "three" times:
