MacWiesel
Hint: if you want to use VirtualBox or Docker one has to activate Virtual Support in BIOS! Otherwise you'll get a VT-x support warning in VirtualBox. I had to search quite a while to find out.
teeodor
Post codec_dump of Linux Live, then I look whether the 755 different nodes used With this method? 1) Get your favorite Linux Live ISO (I used the latest Ubuntu) and burn it to disc. 2) Boot of the disc get to the desktop. Open the terminal and type this: cat /proc/asound/card0/codec#0 3) The terminal will scroll through the data. Copy the data and paste it into a text document and save it to a writeable media (live CDs often mount media read-only so you will need something like a thumb-drive or something)
polyzargone
Yes. If command in 3) doesn't work type this : cd ~/Desktop && mkdir CodecDump && for c in /proc/asound/card*/codec#*; do f="${c/\/*card/card}"; cat "$c" > CodecDump/${f//\//-}.txt; done && zip -r CodecDump.zip CodecDump It will create a CodecDump.zip & a CodecDump folder on your desktop. Just save them on a writable media and post the CodecDump.zip here.

MacWiesel
Anyone has a solution for mouse stutter? I use a Logitech MX mouse and from time to time the mouse stutters. The movement feels unnatural and sometimes leads to faulty clicks. I installed the driver and even tried the command here: http://superuser.com/a/155488/276260 defaults write .GlobalPreferences com.apple.mouse.scaling -
gradedcatfood
My BIOS for some reason continues to switch to: "RAID ON" instead of "RAID Autodetect/AHCI" whenever I restart my machine.Does anyone have this issue by any chance, or any idea how to solve it?When I first installed the OS i'm 100% sure it was selected as "RAID Autodetect/AHCI" but it conitnues to switch to "RAID ON" preventing me from booting and always having to switch back to the correct settings. Thanks! MacPeet
You need the RTC-FIX or Patched_10.7_AppleRTC.kext or similar to prevent the reset.

Thanks! Open Clover Config.plist using Clover Configurator. Click on, "Kernel and Kext Patches", put a checkmark in "Apple RTC". Or try using the attached kext. morpheousman
I am getting irritated again with these slow bout up times. Everything works okay. It just really annoys me that I cannot figure out what is causing this. Two Opliplex 780's, and they both do the same, except one stalls for about 35 seconds , and the other for 25. Here is the boot log were they stall. 0:100 0:100 MemLog inited, TSC freq: 2992494459 0:100 0:000 LegacyRegion2: Chipset/proc: 0x2E108086 0:100 0:000 Intel Series 4 and similar (PAM 0x90-0x96) 0:100 0:000 Test PAM1=(0x41=50, 0x5a=00, 0x81=00, 0x91=11) at chipset 2E108086 0:100 0:000 , Install = Success 0:113 0:012 BiosVideoDriverBindingStart! 0:113 0:000 BiosVideoCheckForVbe 0:113 0:000 EdidOverride not found 0:139 0:026 Edid1+ 0:139 0:000 found Detail Timing 1920x1080 0:165 0:026 Edid0+ 0:165 0:000 found Detail Timing 1920x1080 0:165 0:000 ... already present 0:170 0:004 0 1152x864 attr=BB - ok, edid+, working, highest, pref=0 0:171 0:000 1 1280x960 attr=BB - ok, edid- 0:171 0:000 2 640x480 attr=BB - ok, edid+, 640x480, working 0:171 0:000 3 800x600 attr=BB - ok, edid+, 800x600, working 0:171 0:000 4 1024x768 attr=BB - ok, edid+, 1024x768, working 0:171 0:000 5 1280x1024 attr=BB - ok, edid+, working, highest, pref=5 0:172 0:000 6 1400x1050 attr=BB - ok, edid- 0:173 0:001 BV new mode: 5 1280x1024 0:240 0:066 SetMode pref 5 (5) = Success >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>32 second stall starting here, why? 34:848 34:607 34:848 0:000 Now is 23.7.2015, 2:39:53 (GMT+2047) 34:848 0:000 Starting Clover rev 3241 on CLOVER EFI >>>>>>>>Now Clover Boot Menu Finally Shows Up. polyzargone
Have you set Inject EDID=true or Custom EDID in your config.plist ? Try remove everything but InjectATI=true and FB=Shrike in Graphics panel of Clover Confugurator…
morpheousman
Have you set Inject EDID=true or Custom EDID in your config.plist ? Try remove everything but InjectATI=true and FB=Shrike in Graphics panel of Clover Confugurator… Did not think that would change anything. Tried it anyways, and it did not make a difference. Both of my Optiplex 780's have stalled on bootup like this ever since installing Yosemite with Clover. Yosemite with Chameleon did not stall on boot. Has to be something that I am missing in Bios, or maybe Config, but I am starting to doubt config problems because I have tried so many configs. I have tried Configs that you have attached, and a config that macpeet attached, they have not made a difference. Power On > Dell Splash Screen, then a dash at the top-left of the screen for 35 seconds before Clover Menu appears. Makes no sense.

Toskache
Really great HowTo! Works very fine with my Optiplex 760. Just one small issue: The AppStore dosen't work properly. Sometimes it works (except the update tab), but mostly there is no connection to the store. Ethernet-Card is on en0 and all the other networking is working (internet, local network...). I also did the "iMassage-Fix" Any ideas?
