cohan
Great! Then I will try to update. I have 10.4.6, and when I tried updating to 10.4.7 (With JaS release) i got an error and couldnt get into OSX, anyone know how I can fix that? I need the 10.4.7 update installed before i can update to 10.4.8, right?
macprodan
i had problems installing 10.4.7 update, was my own fault as i didn't follow instructions properly. make sure you follow them to the letter... first download 10.4.7 AMD update. says intel but its the AMD one. then get the semjaza10_4_7 files and follow instructions in there. both these should be found on PBay or DNoid Personally i think ill go back to 10.4.7 until i can figure out how to make logic work again as i cant live without it. myzar
logic is supposed to work with the iokit from 10.4.7 but looks it's a problem in logic itself.
cbmkgd
Hmm... this v2 gave me a problem I never had before: the infamous "can't restart". In fact I couldn't either reboot nor restart: the desktop just reloaded it seems. So had to reboot manually (reset button). Will later try with the usual hex edit restart fix solution from the wiki. zu1u
would be nice if we could get a 10.4.8 for sse2 amd cpus.. i saw progress is being made on intel chips with sse2.. hopefully us poor amd buggers won't be left out
B612
is there a reason why who has already installed the 10.4.8 V1 should install this package again? Or we should just let it be like this? Second question: this package is working also on Intel CPU?
macprodan
Here is my Reset Fix. Has Base / AMD / CPUID and SSE Patches applied. I have to say 10.4.7 Feels alot faster than 10.4.8 where can i find the iokit, might try 10.4.8 again see if i can get Logic working.
cbmkgd
I've decided against the reset fix after all: better to find the cause. I use sudo reboot in terminal for now... Thanks anyway. OTOH, Filemaker works again under v2.
