spakk
Hi again, Mr.Spakk! I tested kernel "27 August 2015 - Bronya - kernel_10.10.3_rc1" from your post. My CPU work fine, score in geekbench higher than on Mavericks 10.9.5. But sometimes I see some freezes in system animations. In cinebeenck my graphicscard (GTX 650) get 41-43 fps. I tried to start AGPM, but I can't find note about AGPM in console. Sorry for my english (I'm from Russia), and I hope that you understand me. My graphicscard use "WebDriver-346.02.02f03" form http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/301416-nvidia-web-driver-updates-for-yosemite/. Thanks for the review, I'll check that. gils83
glis83 Hi! I've tried to use voodoopstate.kext and no success, maybe you could make some video, where you can show what did you do, to make it work? It would be nice if you do that, and if you upload voodopstate.kext, because I think I could use wrong one and of course if you have a free time to do all this. I'm sure that I doing something wrong. I've read, that for make it work there should be removed some other power management kexts but which one? That's the question. And I read something about AppleHPET.kext, should it be removed or something? And then again, if it will not work, then it's ok, I actually don't need power management, everything is working fine without it, like I said earlier, I don't have much time for experiments. That't the problem: the frequency is false but works very good woh !! the win10 is very fast on Parallels 10 /Yosemite look the video :http://www.sendbox.fr/a64e23a4f9078d33/dossier_sans_titre.zip VoodooPState.kext.zip
J0hny
Thank you very much! I'll try this kext, and report here! And I will watch your video soon! upd. Yes it's working, but like you said with false frequency. But the result is much better, cpu frequency is closer to real one. And still i feel that performance reducing with that driver little bit. Again thanks for that driver! upd2. Nice video! What did you do, to make parallels work on amd? On my mac I have only two crashing apps: parallels/vbox, like in everyone else I think... Which version of parallels did you used? Edited September 7, 2015 by ImmortalSoulL
mrjayviper
I have tested your kernel, works fine! Good job! Core speed, fsb, multiplier - correct! how important are these info? if it's wrong, the CPU could be either under or overclocked? thank you

J0hny
how important are these info? if it's wrong, the CPU could be either under or overclocked? thank you If you have those values false, then your hackintosh may work not correct, some apps can crash, especially when you try to boot into system, it can't boot at all or boot with some problems etc. That's why it's so important! francescophp
Guys, i'm on Yosemite 10.10.3 using this kernel :http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/files/file/461-amd-kernel-yosemite-10103-sseplus/ What i have to do to make VoodooPState working? I saw you were talking about it After Updating to 10.10.4, using Package 10.10.4, VoodooPState cause KP, i have to delete it Using other Kernels (I've tried kernels in the topic kernel release (http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/285580-database-of-current-working-amd-kernels/page-4?do=findComment&comment=2165205) , bronya doesn't boot, kernels from y2k4u boot but voodoopstate show only 800 and 1000 mhz, the other kernel still not tried)

oliveiro
Hi ! about your VoodooPState problem, I've been struggling with it with former kernels, until I noticed it was v1.0.4 that was not working with my AMD (only 800Mz options). Using v1.0.3 solved the issue. I'll test bronya's latest kernel ASAP. Now Bronya kernel works (i had to put boot in efi) But still problem with voodooPState! polyzargone
Hey guys ! Sorry for the dumb question but I will soon switch from Chameleon to Clover on a new mobo and would like to know how to specify and where to put the AMD kernel ? I tried (on a test mobo which I don't have anymore ) : kernel=AMD and placed the amd kernel at the root of the drive but no way. And what about the EFI partition/folder ? Is there a place where Clover look for alternative kernels ? This is for the installation step and I can't figure how to boot on the AMD kernel. Therefore, I can't install anything and for now, I'm forced to use Chameleon to reach install screen… Thanks !
Slice
Place kernel into root of OSX partition, name it "mach_kernel.amd" and write into boot-args "Kernel=mach_kernel.amd" One time I saw that the name does matter. The first symbols must be "mach_kernel..."

Mr. Xtreme
I was sure you name the kernel kernel and put it in /System/Library/Kernels for Yosemite EDIT: Nevermind I saw that you said to add a bootflag to load it. francescophp
in relation to the VoodooPState.kext .... I think that the problems be solved by booting with the SSDT.aml. According to instructions on the rampagedev website, rampagedev describes how you can generate a SSDT.aml. there are the P-state and C-state values determined and generated in the SSDT, ( how-to create a SSDT ) or I understand something wrong? Spakk, that applies to Intel CPUs only, not to AMD. Tried, nothing change! look my speed native CPU is true (8320E) but o/c is false but works good Hi! Can you post your VoodooPState.kext? Another user told to use a different version, but version 1.0.3 doesn't work

spakk
Spakk, that applies to Intel CPUs only, not to AMD. Yes, .. Hervé.... I have seen until now. i am sorry. but rampagedev has created a suitable SSDT.aml for me that I use, he has a lot of SSDT's created for various AMD boards in to the AMD.DMG.
