@ImmortalSoulL

here writes Bronya "....This kernel rc7 read busFreq from only bootloader!

In trap.c delete "invalid RDMSR" and implement in opemu.c!

Chameleon bootloader version in 2594! ..."

I'm assuming that was all displayed correctly with kernel rc7.

only he can tell us how did he do that exactly. :(

I was for long time not present here, and have unfortunately missed the changes.

but the problems that you have, I can not recognize at my hackintosh.

No problem. Thank you for your time to check this!) And I know about read BusFreq from bootloader, I also was testing that. I can tell you more, with clover and rc7 kernel, you can write BusFreq and CPUFreq in clover config by yourself, it will read correctly even with clover. But I think you already know that.) Well then let's wait for Bronya.)

update: I think I've found the solution for this issue, the multiplier was dropping as I suppose because of amd cool&quiet technology. Everyone knows, that this is energy saving technology, which changes your multiplier and voltage depending on how much system is loaded. Of course in mac os x this technology is not working, but when system is not loaded yet by bootloader, or when system only beginning to load - it can functioning, and when kernel calculating multiplier, it can catch wrong multiplier I think, but it’s only suggestion. So if everyone had the same issue, you should switch this in bios to "Auto", or better like in my case just disable it!

Please to look at this process with Build 14F22a just as an experiment. The adjustments to Build 14F19a runs so far fine.

I must correct myself and apologize. Something is wrong with the changes/transfer after of the /usr/ folder contents from Build 14F19a to build 14F22a. it is noticed only now that the information Core Speed, Multiplier, Bus Speed, and Rated FSB are displayed incorrectly, but this has nothing to do with the kernel, because the same kernel is displayed everything correctly under Build 14F19a...we need to check what may be the cause.

probably is something absolutely necessary from the folder /usr/ from Build 14F22a? I dont know.....

Edit:

I very much apologize for ..., it was my mistake ... another kernel was the cause!

The above experiment will be adjusted at the latest when a new xnu source is published by Apple, presumably. or someone will find a good solution to this problem?

my research in relation to the problem of freeze / crash your gtx 760 graphics card, did not return anything positive. see google link. a user meant to mitigate the problem by another smbios.plist from IMac13,1. but the problems remain. I think that you can prevent long term the problem with an other osx compatible graphics card.

Anyone try to update to 10.10.5?

10.10.5 should be treated with caution, as already have described my experience.
at the penultimate Build 14F19a with adjustments, see the article, the system is still running reliably.

Considering the build and the build 14F19a 14F22a only as an experiment.  From Build 14F19a and Build 14F22a can only be seen as an experiment, and is not recommended on a main partition and will cause problems in the use of some programs. (Note: the build 14F19a running on my hackintosh without a problem)

good luck!

Unsuccessfully update OS to 10.10.5(

Choose update via App Store

After reboot started Windows and replace kernel and kext (http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/302075-amd-yosemite-kernel-testing-for-help-use-the-help-topic/page-53?do=findComment&comment=2118292) with Transmac. (Use this method with 10.10.2-10.10.4 updates and it worked great).

Then boot with Yosemite usb installer and repair disk and permissions with Disk Utility.

Start system and got opcode error(

Before update i made backup of system.kext, applematch.kext and sandbox.kext.

Boot into windows again and replace these three kexts with Transmac.

Again boot with Yosemite usb installer and repair disk and permissions with Disk Utility.

But problem is still present - opcode error and system doesn't start.

Maybe now need a fresh install

Strange because i updated system from 10.10.1 to 10.10.4 with replacing only kernel and phread.kext. Think that 10.10.5 update will be successful too. Maybe Apple changed something else in this build and now this method does not work.

Will make fresh install of 10.10.1 and then update to 10.10.4.

10.10.4 works great.

Edit:

Maybe we succeed another simple way to the goal, without these serious engagement when many could test.

You have to take the Extensions folder from the previous executable OSX version ...etc.

read what I have written, without repeating here again.

yes, with a pacifist, then add the package for 10.10.5 into the Extensions folder.

No luck using that kernel :(

.... I repeat myself constantly. if you have the intention to upgrade to 10.10.5, then read the previous pages in detail, please.

then read what I have written here, then the update10.10.5 will work with amd kernel, with the contents of the package as well as to the other adjustments

this time it's not so simple for amd CPUs, but it works

write your hardware specifications in your signature, so that someone can help you.
if you do not like the kernel, then take the last bronya's rc7 kernel or the last kernel of Tora Chi Yo, that can you decide for yourself.
