iCloud .. AMD .. Yosemite .....  ...

must login in the intel machine with genuine kernel ... after login .. replace the kernel with amd kernel .. rebuild cache and put back in AMD machine  .. Done

attachicon.gifScreen Shot 2015-02-24 at 8.40.58 AM.png

I never did such a thing like this, i simply copied my Intel account through time machine backup in my AMD, et voilà....le jeux sont fait.

Locked on 10.10, i wanna wait for a fix for a combo update,i don't want to do a fresh install again, cause then i've to copy iCloud account again, very boring...

I also use that trick but with a Time Machine backup, no need to copy your iCloud account back again, it will just ask your iCloud password when you'll boot back on your restored partition :thumbsup_anim:

Unfortunately  got opcode error again:

System with R1 and R2 kernels works, but a lot of opcode errors in log.

I have not been able to understand

Actually K8 TEST Is based on the REV-8D
I just FIX K10 and K10.5 CPID with TSC
K8 still Is REV8D code

But after compiling K8 test is still a problem

I uploaded the kernel
Actually I tested no problem on My K10

You can try to download xcode
Compile on their own machines

After all K8 CPU less certain instructions
that opcode 64: 0F B6 0F
is movzx ecx, byte [ds:rdi]
The instruction is 64bit register address[rdi] get 1 byte Value Conversion 32bit[000000xx] to 32bit registers[ECX]

I see K8 opcode 64 MSG
Almost all of this code 64->32 or 32->64

Compile on their own machines
Compatibility degree would be better

I tested your k8 r2 kernel. I installed  AppleNforceAta 1.0.5. My chameleon is r2468. Still have opcode error "invalid kernel opcode (64-bit): 80 b8 59 01 00 00 00 78 0b 80" and i'm not sure if system lags anymore (seems ok to me). There's two kernels that does not cause error bronya's rc7 and your r8L v1. What kernel should i while compiling kernel ( i compiled some time ago vanila kernel on Snow Leo so i think i can handle it since you always have a diff with your kernel)? And somehow i broke my chameleon. i can't load r8L kernel anymore. after loading i have my screen in standby mode same thing with k8 r2. but this time i can add "GraphicsEnabler=Yes npci=0x3000" and monitor works(this does not work on other kernels  ). I would like to read some documentation on chameleon, because my systems behave differently when there is different chameleon revision for example after rev2377 i can't boot my SnowLeo.

10.6x-10.8x can use chameleon 2256

10.6-10.9 64bit

You can try to learn to compile Kernel K8 benefit users  :)

when starting this error shown, which start time worsened thereby substantially (with my hardware)

On my hack start time increase for about 5 sec due to this messages.

Someone wrote here in this topic that disabling autoupdate on App Store ( in System Preferences) solve this problem and messages are not shown anymore after this.

Try Replace chameleon 2468 & open Terminal : sysctl machdep.cpu

and TEST it

My Acer Power M8 MB's AMD CPU:

Smith-Jamess-Mac:~ smithjames$ sysctl machdep.cpu

machdep.cpu.core_count: 2

machdep.cpu.thread_count: 2

Chiset is Nvidia MCP61.

Bootloader is Chameleon 2380 V3 or newer one made no difference.

No matter using Nvidia 7600 GT or AMD/ATI Radeon HD 5770 as GPU during booting always freeze after "PCI Configuration Begin"

even added "npci=0x2000 GE=N cpus=1" or "npci=0x3000" , "PCIRootUID=1", "busratio=10 fsb=200" in any combination.

Tested by all 10.10/10.10.1 AMD kernels posted here got the same problem.

AppleNForceATA.kext 1.0.4 or 1.0.5 was applied in vain either.

Up to now only 10.6.8 legacy_kernel is working.

What is your RAM memory configuration? 1X2Gb?

On my system with Nvidia MCP6x running AppleNForceATA.kext

2x2Gb would boot up OK with npci=0x2000.

1x2Gb would get stuck at "PCI Configuration Begin" with all combination of npci, PciRoot, and cpus.

I suggest that you try different combinations of RAM configuration and npci settings.

Fixed some error code and compile parameter(This may be the reason K8 to opcode 64. I Unable test)

PS:

If K8 AM2 Processor appear opcode 64 MSG
Please use the diff file Patch XNU Source To compile
Because K8 processors Missing some CPU instructions

Compared with K10
Current K8 processor missing the following instructions:

FXSR(FXSAVE/FXRSTOR) Mon(MONITOR) POPCNT 1GBPAGE EM64T LZCNT PREFETCHW RDTSCP

The new processor to compile May produce a new instruction optimization opcode

Old processor don't support the new instructions to opcode 64 MSG

so ....

Compile on their own machines
Compatibility degree would be better

Thanks! Both versions work great! No opcode errors!

Now have hard decision, which version should I use  :D ?

May be will use SSEPlus

Thanks again!!! :thumbsup_anim:  :D

yosemite (10.10.1, kernel 1010-REV-8C)

hi andy, bronya and Tora Chi Yo

can help me someone during this error message?

many Thanks

hello my friend yakei, In terms of "Bug in process suhelperd ..." I have described how to fix that for a few months ago --> remove the automatic update, then should no longer occur that.

Edit:

go to "system settings"  ---> "app Store" -> disable by removing the checkmark "automatic update"

Unfortunately change with 2x 2GB DDR2 800 SDRAM still got the same freeze.

Anyway thanks for your suggestion.

Try to find any other solution.

Tora chi Yo i have AMD 1100T and i have been using rev8 sseplus..can u plz tell me whether that kernel is running my cpu in sse3 emulation mode or hardware accelerated mode...also if not is rev8N hardware SSE3 enabled???

Thanx for all the good work.

I would like to say CONGRATULATION & THANK YOU for all member of the "Dev Team"
finally all version of OSX (v10.6 - v10.10) can run flawlessly on my AMD P-II x4 965

But there’s an old issue still occurs with all the latest kernel of Bronya's RC5 & Tora Chi Yo's Rev-8N

When I open the MAXIMA
http://maxima.sourceforge.net/

I can confirm that the app can work with the latest kernel (both Bronya’s & Tora’s)  :thumbsup_anim:

But I also notice that the console still repeatedly reports some kernel related errors
which is “invalid user opcode (32-bit)”
