phongxu
Thanks for the guide. I was successfully installed 10.10 on SP1. However, the screen is not looking right . It look like it is wash out. It's like white color on top of the screen. Thinks are hard to see. Can anyone help me out? Thanks.

Vudo
here it comes.. just follow the guide, boot only anytime you use the pen drive "without cache and injection kexts" by pressing space. install only the files of my pack. use the orange marked kext files on the pen also and drop them and the green one's after first boot into s-l-e folder. the others later to get audio and wlan to work. have fun girl's;-) thanks to all others who help and wrote the guide above! ps: the clover config boot up the windows system partition as default and set to english language. you can change this if need. swyner
SurfacePro1 with OSX10.10.1 Ok everything mostly working, all glitches with washed out screen fixed (thanks all!!). I am trying to get iMessage and FaceTime working with no success. I have tried all the same steps from Rehabman (nullethernet.kext, delete networkconfig.plst, reboot, add back the adapters, etc, etc). I do get the first adapter "self assigned" and then add my internet adapter. All good. I used Clover to get a valid serial and wrote that into the config.plst. I even downloaded the dsdt.aml file and named it -1....I still cannot get iMessage to work "An error occurred during activation". Anyone get this working on 10.10.1>

Ok, my wife has a real MacBook Pro...however didn't want to use any of her information in fear they disable her iMessage and FaceTime....can you lead me to instructions for this? Vudo
1. u need a real mac serial number of a mac with 64Bit architecture, not a old one this don't work for yosemite only up to 10.9.x. 2. u need the mac-addresse of the fn0 device also from the real one. then y enter the serial and mac-adress to the config.plist of clover by configurator. (enter serial number to: rt variables: mlb and mac-adress to: rt variables: rom [without the four's numbers in the middle, just 1-3 block 6-8) u have to create smbios data also by clover before and save it too. if the data's are correct and if this is not blocked on the message server of apple, imessage and facetime work. ps: sometimes the uuid y have is also used by a other one and all other data's are correct y can't log in, then u have to build a new one by terminal: and enter them on system parameters: costume uuid. to read out the require information use following cript. (real mac) (i don't know how to upload via forum, please send pm with information) Edited January 13, 2015 by JahStories please use internal files share system. modacular
The 0.5.1 included AppleHDA.kext doesn't give me internal microphone access. ("No input devices found").How can I fix this?
Ezhik
I managed to get most things working - except for sleep. If you don't have an external WiFi adapter, but do have an Android phone, you can install HoRNDIS and use Android's built-in USB tethering function. Make sure your Android phone is connected to a Wi-Fi network when doing this, or get an unlimited data plan. With graphics, on install and first boot I had the same whited out screen issue. After installing the included kexts, things got better, but still pretty glitchy and slow. I grabbed an HD4000 driver online, that seemed to help - transparency is back and the glitches are gone. DisplayPort does not seem to work, though.
Ezhik
Also, here's the exact process I used to enable Retina scaling: 1. Install SwitchResX -> Open it -> Go to Menus, enable Menu Extra 2. Install Xcode Graphics Tools (go here: https://developer.apple.com/downloads/index.action - sign in with your Apple ID, then go to "Graphics Tools for Xcode - Xcode 6.1", and download that) 3. Open the Graphics Tools .dmg, then open Quartz Debug 4. Window -> UI Resolution 5. Enable HiDPI display modes 6. Log out and login. 7. Open SwitchResX, it should show you HiDPI options now. 8. Pick a resolution, optionally add your own - I went with 1536x864, which matches with 125% scaling on Windows
Ezhik
Right now I get kernel panic when I boot without the USB drive, something about an "AppleIntelCPUPowerManagement". I imagine this might be why I'm having the issues with sleep.

Ezhik
Can you post the driver or a link to it? I'm kinda scared to link to other Hackintosh sites here, but I just googled "Intel HD 4000 Driver 10.10.1" and went to the first link".
mootwo
Found the driver, thanks. Unfortunately I'm still having the same minor annoying issues. Parts of Youtube videos "flicker", and so does Google Chrome. Not a big deal, but it's just something I was hoping a new driver would fix.
Ezhik
Another tip: If your graphics are not working right, open Quartz Debug, and turn off "Beam sync" - this will not fix all of your graphics woes, but there will be a lot less lag.
BadRequest
Exelent guide! Though I do have some issues if someone could help me out.. Sound output is working but no input and the buttons don't work. Once by accident the volume buttons worked although audio out wasnt working. Is there a way to check if the DSDT is being picked up? Graphics work perfectly but I can't play anything requiring HDCP and no AirPlay, so no Netflix.. System information shows it as "Intel HD Graphics 4000,,,,,,, 1024MB" Then sometimes the touchscreen does not turn off with the display and accidental touches wakes up the device.. Bluetooth does not work every other boot, I can't turn it off when it does work and stops working after sleep. Btw, quickest way to enable HIDPI that I found: Terminal: "sudo defaults write /Library/Preferences/com.apple.windowserver.plist DisplayResolutionEnabled -bool true" Use included "RDM" app to set to "1280x720 (HIDPI)" Putting the dock to left or right lets you run most apps fine like this.. Vudo
some one update to 10.10.2?
GazGaz76
some one update to 10.10.2? Yes, I did. Nothing to loose as I started to install OS X on my SP1 earlier this week; the system is a vast experiment so far and I can trash it for now. Downloaded the 10.10.2 Combo Update and installed it: not much to say, it processed fine. Upon reboot (regular boot, no need to skip cache / inject) I was on 10.10.2. I had lost sound, so I re-applied all the kext from the 0.5.1 pack & rebooted. Sound is back. NOTE: looks like Apple is now restricting the Combo Update to 10.10 and not from 10.10.1 (likely to force the use of the App Store, thus complicate the Hackintosh users' life). There is a fix, in French here: http://www.macbidouille.com/news/2015/01/30/permettre-l-installation-de-la-combo-10-10-2-sur-une-version-10-10-1-ou-10-10-2 (use Google Translate, when I have some free time I'll make a translation of it). Sound buttons work. I am using the AppleIntelFramebufferCapri kext for now, when I don't load it, my mouse moves really sluggishly. See my next post, I did rebuild everything. Only odd thing was that kextdrop v1.0 (from the 0.5.1 pack) would only display a white window, no longer allowed the drag n drop of kexts & process. Upgraded to v1.1 fixed it. I will work on iMessage next :-)
GazGaz76
Hi, I am having issue with video playback. VLC gives sound, no image. MplayerX gives black video window. Interestingly, I can preview .mp4 videos from the finder. I reinstalled the SP1 from scratch. Out of installation (10.10) + clover (before merging the kexts from the 0.5.1 pack), I have working VLC & video playback (no sound obviously). Upgraded to 10.10.2 (still without merging the kext from the 0.5.1 pack), VLC still work - issue was elsewhere :-) Installed all the kext from the 0.5.1 Pack BUT the AppleFrameBufferCapri.kext (and the RT2870 one, I have no WiFi dongle for the moment). Boot logo is perfect (no artifact, no distortion), image is clear, screen paints fast, no more sluggish mouse. Yeah!!! And VLC still work (image & sound). Personal conclusion: work slowly, follow the guide, load only what you need. Also, I tried the HiDPI modes, using "sudo defaults write /Library/Preferences/com.apple.windowserver.plist DisplayResolutionEnabled -bool true" but when I try what would be my target ("1280x720 (HIDPI)") the screen is all messed up, cursor is one inch away from where it really register clicks, the right 1/3 of the screen is painted on the left... The only HiDPI modes that work so far a an exact divide by 2 of the native screen resolution (i.e. 960 x 540 HiDPI) which is too small. Take #2. Thanks to Ezhik's post, I did: Download the Xcode Graphics Tools (go here: https://developer.ap...ds/index.action - sign in with your Apple ID, then go to "Graphics Tools for Xcode - Xcode 6.1", and download that) Opened the Graphics Tools .dmg, then open Quartz Debug Window -> UI Resolution Enable HiDPI display modes Beam Sync: off Log off & back in. From there, following sizegold1998's post, I used the RDM application from the 0.5.1 Pack, and switched to 1280 x 720 (HiDPI). It just works! Maybe now I can focus on iMessage & the App Store :-) Thanks to every one for their sharing & tips. Did read the entire thread, it helped a lot. calreid
First off, thanks for starting this thread, looks like theres been a few success stories Picked up a 1st gen Surface Pro the other day for a steal at £115, built a few desktop hackintoshes, mainly working in snow leopard and Mountain Lion. Didn't have any experience with Clover prior to today, but I am now following this guide in an attempt to get OSX onto my Surface. I have followed this guide to the letter and even tried the alternative plist file, however no matter what i do, kernel flags or boot options, I am met with "Error Loading Kernel Cache (0xe). The machine still has a windows 8 install on it, but i have disabled secure boot. Issues with my current setup that may be a cause: 1 - Using a 64gb USB3.0 drive (correctly formatted, but could it's size be an issue?" 2 - Using a powered USB3.0 hub (this has both my flashdrive and keyboard and wireless mouse plugged in, I dont have a type/touch cover) Any suggestions anyone may have to get me rolling past this roadblock would be greatly appreciated! Cheers, Calum
