This time there are no obvious changes, so (again) here is the low-down on the current version: * Chat with Yahoo! Messenger contacts * Add a status message that your personal contacts can see * Share what you are listening to in iTunes with your personal contacts * Create, send, and receive custom emoticons with personal contacts * Send and receive custom animated emoticons with personal contacts * Search for conversation histories using Spotlight * Check the spelling in your instant messages Our forum's very own 'curlyboy' points out that the new download may solve sign-in issues. Damn rosetta. you should get crossover for mac if you want to run IE. it's a piece of sofware being developed that allows you to run windows apps in osx. it's not extremely reliable for loads of software, but it does IE well. http://www.codeweavers.com/beta/cxmac/ and i haven't noticed anything new with this build of messenger. still takes forever to log in. i can't figure that out, caues when i boot into windows and run live messenger, it logs in almost instantly... Mebster Posted October 14, 2006 Share Posted October 14, 2006 What they need to add support to is the video and voice conferences!!!! That’s the main thing holding me back from using my OSX partition as a major system. I rely on MSN Messenger quite a bit and so having a system on the Mac which is just as updated as on the PC would be great. What I’m trying to do is persuade my friends and family to use Skype. It's a long process. But then we can all use video chats. But having been using MSN Messenger for 7 years, it's hard to leave it behind. (Note: aMSN and Adium are nothing as good as MSN for windows.
