chummdoggin
Almost. Problem appears to be IOHDACodecRevisionID: 0x100500. HD7xxx HDMI audio did not work until 0x100300 was supported. Perhaps Retina iMac will bring support for that version. How do we know if that support comes? Would it show up in get info after an update? IOReg/HDAU/AppleHDAController/IOHDACodecDevice/IOHDACodecRevisionID/0x100500, 10.10 = 0x100300 Update: imac15 uses 7870 and 7970 mobile GPUs with the current revision, 0x100300
Iwanche
Your motherboard does not support Intel HD Graphics/HDMI audio. There are no HDEF or HDMI audio edits present in your dsdt. Voodoo is not supported. This thread supports AppleHDA.kext onboard and HDMI audio only. But I do not need hdmi from the board, but with graphics. Here the new dsdt, please try again.. http://www.hackintoshosx.com/index.php?app=core&module=attach§ion=attach&attach_id=5812
toleda
But I do not need hdmi from the board, but with graphics. Do not know of anyone running graphics successfully without a motherboard. No HDEF, no OS X audio. See Realtek ALC AppleHDA Audio Injection, use Patch/Rename dsd/AZAL/Audio ID: 1 For onboard audio, see Yosemite: Audio - Realtek ALC AppleHDA, use 1. realtekALC/patch in place For HDMI audio, see Post #1, use 5series guide. ramontorres
Hi, I'm running Yosemite, with Clover bootloader injecting fake id (R9 290x ) for a full working R9 290. I'm getting audio from AppleHDA patched by Clover. Now I want to use HDMI audio from that card, but I'm confused. What part of the guide should I follow ?. Do I need to edit DSDT, or a config.plist is enough ?. I see links to download config-hdmi_hd4000-100.plist.zip and config-hdmi_hd4000-90.plist.zip, but, which one do I have to download ?. I'm lost here, so any help will be appreciated.
nightking
Hello! I'm trying to enable HDMI audio on ASUS K56CB but with no luck. Laptop have an ALC270 audio with layout id 28, and I'm using DummyHDA for enabling audio. I've applied DSDT fix for HDEF and IGPU with layout id 28 and clover patches for AppleIntelFrameBufferCapri. HDMI audio is shown in audio section Intel HD Audio but after plugging in HDMI it isn't discovered as device. What else can I do about it? Thanks in advance!
