Hmm, maybe you will need tuning the kext to get the correct log, I'll be back with the changes.

"In AppleIntelInfo.kext/Contents/Info.plist you'll find a setting called: logIPGStyle (TRUE) and this setting enables logging of P-State changes in the 'Intel Power Gadget Style'." (As told me pireralpha. Do change it to false, then reboot and reuse the kext and send me the new log

Using this kext for PM Log.

MSR is locked, sony doesn't give any way to flash back a unlocked bios, no bios mod YET for SVS models (and guess what, older Sandy Bridge VAIO S series with unlocked BIOS can force GPU to Nvidia :o may brick some models, other wont) and ALL OTHER laptops I OSXed with either i5/i7 from different gen. had MANY states. But for my case (the i7-3520M) I found out that the same MBP9,2/10,2 have the SAME P-STATS : 4 + Turbo mods, that left me amazed, I mean wow, do I have the correct PM settings? But even thought, Sony have one bad PM managing, it sux! I tried a vaio and a asus with the exact same specs (apaprt from battery OFC, which in this case, Sony had more mAh than the ASUS) and the ASUS got a longer battery tho, Why? I donno, the same usage was applied on both devices, either sony's PM is faulty, or its battery, but I think it's sony's PM fault since the fan is louder, the CPU is on work all the time because of the Bloatware on windows (which comes with many VAIO stuff that I like and can enable, like lid opening power, without VAIO Center, I can't enable it/use it).

Now that Sony have left VAIO, and VAIO (as a independent company) will stop making Laptops and maybe will start a new industry, which is sad :( I don't know if there will be any fix for the PM issue.

If it is using Aptio, try using AMIBCP tool to unlock it

Apart from AGPM Controller Unknown Platform which is your AMD 7650M's AGPM issue, everything's fine

That's the first place I went to, they have some tools, but not sure if it's possible to patch, and moreover, no known flashback way.

When running Sony's updating tool, go to Cache folder and copy its rom, in case of failure then flash it in DOS ?

What if doesn't power up again? :|

Tried that, but where is its cache? In %tempdir% I found nothing, looks like I need some software to track others' activity, like that I will know where it goes.

If it doesn't power up again, follow bios-mod's tutorial for InsydeH2O recovery process. You need to keep the exe open, don't let it run until the part where it finished flashing or failing, so that the folder contained the bios file is created

The Panic is indeed due to the TP-link USB (I see USB kexts and Network stuff!)

You need to patch AGAIN the DSDT (and remove all other Clover DSDT Patches from your config.plist, which is already done if you made your config.plist as I said in the guide) STEP 20 - 23

And how the HELL does 26 give you KPs it just removes USB3.0 non-vanilla kexts and fixes Permissions!!! I think you should remove all USB devices before rebooting.

@Sidd

I can't find any ROM for your AMD card, gimme your full VAIO S/N, I'll look in Sony site if they have any "ROM UPDATE" ( )

Thanks Midi  :D

I think I was messed up the step 26 at that time  :P it's actually didn't give any KP but I just can't boot. (working fine and happy now)

After few attempts, I didn't apply

  • Fixes > Disable Hibernate

in step 15) and now my laptop can sleep and wake without any problem!

also I ditched that usb wifi dongle and got an Atheros AR5B195 and it works good.

Now I have few more questions.

1) How's your cpu temperature? I am using HWMonitor and I got like 60-75°C all the time (with only a few tabs of google chrome opening and my ambient temp is like 30°C)

2) also, as you stated in this comment

how did you patch your ssdt(?) in order to disable the GT640M LE? I tried to understand this guide but when I tried to compile my ssdt, it gave so many errors which I can't fix it with my little knowledge  :(

I attached my dumped files just in case someone can tell what's wrong  :)

Thanks in advance!
