  1. Open Preferences App

  2. Click on Network

Use the little MINUS sign to delete all of the network connections

Navigate to ~Library/Preferences/SystemConfiguration

Delete NetworkInterfaces.plist

Empty the Trash

Repair Permissions (use Kext Wizard)

Restart

Open Preferences App

Click the little PLUS sign

Click the drop down box and select "Ethernet"

Click "Create"

Click "Apply"

Now you can open the App Store app and successfully sign in.

Then, (If your machine has Wi-Fi) go to the next step

Click the drop down box and select "Wi-Fi"

Click "Create"

Click "Apply"

I've tested my network connection and its fine as I'm able to connect to the internet

I am only running off WiFi as my built in card is Intel and won't work...I'm running off an Asus USB-N10 wireless dongle

Therein lies the rub, Apple expects real Mac's to have builtin ethernet, it's used by the App store for verification.

 

I don't think you can get the App Store working, unless you have a driver for your ethernet card.

Not true. Aide can use NullEthernet. See: http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/295534-mac-app-store-access-with-nullethernetkext/

Went through the process again and it's now working
