Dear MNSiw! How do you extracted kext from this dmg?

I use Pacifist to extract files from PKG installers.

Your method of Exhaust and AirPort app stop Wifi working during sleep and not auto start wifi at wake.

I found this PrefPane DWA solves all above issue

Thanks for sharing :-) gonna try this on Sierra.

Hi, this forum has helped me a lot....

But the easiest way to get a Realtek (and maybe a Ralink) WiFi card to work in El Capitan, or Sierra, is to download these drivers....

Some of them are good for 10.11 and some for 10.12

I hope this helps, IAN

:)

I tried EP-MS8518 driver (same chip-set as mine) but it's not working, Sierra doesn't boot after installing it.

Its working now, here's what I did, moved wifi kext from clover/kexts/10.12 to desktop, installed it using kext utility, restarted.

On El Capitan, kext in clover worked fine, but now it should be installed to System Extension folder.

Web browser not auto redirect to login page. I'd like to be able to use my workplace's open wifi with web-based password on a regular basis, without having to manually type stuff in. It should just automatically connect to the Wifi router, go to http://1.1.1.1 or whatever, type in my password, and then everything else should just work. Is this possible?

Hey guys, I have an "old" usb wireless adapter, the Sitecom WL-352 v1 (001) and it should have the RT3x7x chip but I'm not sure and I've tried almost all of these solutions to get it to work on Sierra (10.12.3) but without success. Do you have a solution?

Look up the reported PCI ids in SysProfiler to try and determine the fitted chip.

Mediatek still have drivers available for download: https://www.mediatek.com/products/search?q=support

It doesn't even make an LED "blink", and btw I can't see anything from SysProfiler unfortunately..

EDIT: I've been able to install the original Sitecom software provided in their website (even though it was for 10.6) and it works, meaning that the dongle is recognised, I now have the Wireless Network Utility app that lets me scan, save and connect to networks, BUT the thing is that it won't connect to my home network.

Looking into USB in SysProfiler I see that the chipset is RTL8191S instead! I thought it was just for the 002 version of that USB dongle. What can I do?

I have been able to connect even though it's soooo slow and unreliable, but at least it works! With the original software/driver from Sitecom!

If anyone wants a working driver for RTL8191S, there you go: http://www.sitecomlearningcentre.com/products/wl-352v1001/wireless-micro-usb-adapter-300n-x2/downloads

G'day!

Just letting you know it works on macOS Sierra (10.12.3) for a D-Link DWA-140 Rev D following the instructions in the original post using the Mavericks kext.

Thanks for helping me resurrect old hardware for a new Hackintosh!

Hello there
I've just finished installing Sierra on my Lenovo Z710. Only wifi doesn't work (it's intel). I bought a usb card with Realtek RTL8188CU and I can't make it working on OS X. Mediatek Wireless Utility (which was on CD that arrived with card) doesn't open, BearExtender doesn't open, D-Link panel and Asus drivers for N10 (based on the same chip) tell me that card is unplugged. It's not broken - on Windows it works fine. Can anyone help me?

Well, sorry for this

Finally i installed the card, but there's another problem. When I connect to network, it disconnects after 5 seconds. I tried with my router, mobile phone access point and TV wi-fi direct network. Is this driver fault or broken device?

What I've done:

1. Installing kext

2. Installing Wireless Utility (now i opens and shows list of networks, but loses connection after 5 seconds).

Just to let you know I managed to add WIFI to my Mac Pro 3.1 with a HUMAX USB WLAN DONGLE - used to service my HUMAX Set-top Box - based on the Ralink RT5370!

So a BIG thank you to the OP @rodrigocunha for this excellent tutorial and all others for asking the same questions I had, they were of course all answered reading thru this thread.

Thanks m8s!  :thumbsup_anim:

Cheers

Hy, hackintosh/Sierra user here, with gigabyte H97N motherboard with wlan not working.

I bought this on ebay. There were two mac drivers on cd:

RTUSB_D2870-4.2.9.2_UI-4.0.9.6_2013_11_29.dmg
MT7612_7610U_D5.0.1.25_SDK1.0.2.18_UI5.0.0.27__20151209.dmg

None of them works. It installs Mediatek and Ralink utilities but doesnt want to open any of them.

Any solution?

This Driver package from edimax contains:

Kext version: 5.0.1.28 (the package includes a Sierra specific kext)

Wireless Utility: 5.0.0.33

It also contains the RaWLAPI framework (1.0.2.5) and WPA-supplicant components needed by the Wireless Utility.

http://www.edimax.us/download/drivers/MAC/Sierra/EW-7711MAC_Driver_1.0.0.7.zip

Enjoy.

Note that the wpa supplicant component is probably riddled with security vulnerabilities.

I purchased 'Captcha Wifi 600MBPS USB WiFi Dongle' from Amazon India for around $5 USD.

Link - https://www.amazon.in/gp/product/B074RXZLNH/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o08_s01?ie=UTF8&psc=1

1) Plugged it into my Hackintosh

2) Downloaded Edimax drivers from this link - http://www.edimax.us/download/drivers/MAC/Sierra/EW-7711MAC_Driver_1.0.0.7.zip

3) Installed them

And everything works. After every restart, the Wireless Utility starts automatically and connects to my saved network.

I tried, the drivers that came with the CD with the product but that doesn't work.

The dongle has MediaTek 7610U Chip.

I am running Sierra 10.12.12.

Hope this helps someone.
