@ROBASEFR
That's actually what I did when I first set it up but no luck... I still have to activate the profile every time I reboot. Maybe I just didn't install the drivers properly? Verify your S/L/E and Repair permissions and rebuild kext cache again ( Sometimes Repair permissions of your disk may give the solution) Good luck This solution works great. I have one query: how can I disable/re-enable the Wifi or disconnect from a connection, without rebooting or unplugging the USB Wifi dongle? No idea ! I never disconnect WIFI ... I'm waiting for a new Mediatek Wifi Utility (in top screen button you could perhaps toggle on /off ?? Sorry
ptsash
That's ok. I will just monitor this forum -- hopefully a solution will come by eventually. Thanks again!
hanzhao
Hi all, This preference pane doesn't support WPA enterprise encryption. However, the driver does support it, since on the previous OSX the ralink utility can connect to a network encrypted by WPA/WPA-2 enterprise encryption. Any idea to solve this? Cheers
chriz74
I tried this solution on an rt5370 usb dongle by Dynamode. it doesn't work. I put the kext with kext utility, repaired cache and whatever, booted in kext dev mode. Result is No Wireless Device attached. I have yosemite 10.10. dev id is 5370 and vendor 148f. I checked in the info.plist and there's a key for that (decimal values). Still no go.
Anton Matosov
I had the same "No Wireless Device" problem until I manually loaded the kext using the command: sudo kextload /System/Library/Extensions/RT2870USBWirelessDriver.kext

If so, ok , you open it and clik "Open Profile Drawer" In "Connect Order" window which slides left you click on + Chose your default SSID Wifi network Authentification and security: Chose your Authentication Type and password click ok Now you should ( wich is my case ) have automatically at every reboot connecton on your default SSID Wifi network ! @ROBASEFR
Repair file permissions you get with: Utilities /Disk Utility or with Kext Wizard 3.7.11 And use Clover Configurator 4.18.1 Did you enter in Clover/ Boot arguments (config.plist) <key>Boot</key> <dict> <key>Arguments</key> <string>kext-dev-mode=1</string> Very important ! With this adapter and my actual kext (for 10.8) system freeze after 1-2 minutes Thank you very much It should work, because your DWA 125 has RT3070 chip and is covered by the RT2870usbwirelessdriver.kext. Put it in S/L/E with KExt installer or Kext Wizard. and rebuild kernel and system cache. Don't forget kext-dev-mode=1 as boot argument when using in Yosemite !
