Thank you slice I am playing with options

I miss some core (only 16 displayed and no fan monitored) some weird high motherboard temperature also

Attached DarwinDumper

Thank you

1. You seems have double FakeSMC?

kernel: Couldn't alloc class "FakeSMCKeyStore"

2. The kext works but with default profile which seems not good for you

kernel: (W836x) W836x: found NCT6779D
kernel: (W836x) W836x:  mother vendor=ASUSTeK COMPUTER INC. product=Z10PE-D16 WS
kernel: (W836x) W836x: [Warning] set default configuration
Open info.plist of the kext and try to understand the differences between profiles for different motherboard. Apply your connectors.

@Slice, @Fabiosun

On the dual cpu systems it shows all CPU cores for 1 cpu only (0-F), also I have the same Temperature issue as Fabio have it, Motherboard >106C, CPU Heatsink > 97C

The only reason why we might need all cores and processors on the dual system so we can monitor the frequency changers to make sure the power management works correctly since IPG doesn't work with dual CPU systems.

Another bug I've found is the GPU 0 Core frequency is constantly 1350MHZ on GTX 980

Any suggestions :)?

Hello Slice,

It's interesting that kozlek's version of this gives some sensors that yours does not, and vice versa.  I'm switching to your version now so I can have proper CPU temperatures.  But with this version, rev40, I am lacking some voltage sensors, PCH die temp, and the second GPU temp.

Also, it would be awesome to get all the fan speeds, but I realize that might be very difficult, since even most Windows apps don't seem to work with this board.  The only app that shows all fan speeds properly is Gigabyte SIV.  This motherboard's SuperIO chip is an IT8620F.  Your IT87x plugin shows 1 out of 4 fans accurately.

EDIT: I just realized this board has a second chip for additional fan control, an ITE8792E.  Would it be possible to add support for that one too?

Hi Slice,

this is OpenHardwareMonitor Report for Asus X99 Deluxe II, can you teach us how to create a new profile in info.plist files with the info in the reports?

Thank you

So far I've added Asus -> X99 Deluxe 2 profile in w836x.kext, which is being read, but no fan speed is reported and only few voltages.

hi Slice !

I can't find nuvoton support in you source code on sourceforge ? so I can add my config.

can you add Polaris gpu support?

btw. added cpu id 0x9e to kozlek's intelcpumonitor and nuvoton configuration and it works.

Nuvoton is renamed Winbond

I added Polaris GPU support but had no feedback. I don't know if it works or no and why.

how does this work in configuration Voltage Rf Ri VRef ?

examples:

3V

+                            <key>Ri</key>
+                            <integer>100</integer>
+                            <key>Rf</key>
+                            <integer>100</integer>
+                            <key>VRef</key>
+                            <integer>0</integer>

this is 1:1 100%

5V: = Rf 75, Ri 150 = 1:2 : (no config 2.5V) x 2 =  5V

12V = Rf100, Ri 560 = 1:5,6 (no config 2.1V) x 5,6 = 12V

any how to ?

The fault address in the RadeonMonitor

0x873b9450
0x873b8000
---------
0x1450

But 0x1000 is an offset so the address in the kext is 0x450.

Upload, please, your binary to be sure they are the same as mine.

here you go.

Strange. What DeviceID of your Radeon card?

As I see the crash is inside TahitiTemperatureSensor while it must use  HawaiiTemperatureSensor.

I may propose you to test this version

RadeonMonitor.kext-new.zip

and again show me KP and kernel.log with messages from the kext.

They should looks like

missing MSLD key in r43.

addition.

Dell laptop need keys "RMde/ALV0/ALRV/ALI0/MSLD" to fix brightness save after reboot. actually i can use brightness save without MSLD in your kext in 10.12

in 10.13, i added MSLD(RMde/ALV0/ALRV/ALI0/MSLD) in your kext, then expect brighntess save work, but not working. need to find solution in the future.

thanks in advance

Hi,

I had this kp as part of an installation on my X299 hack. CPU is i9-7900x

The install was successful after I removed the plugins from fakeSMC kext.

But of course now I don't have HWMon. Which with this chip makes me nervous given that I haven't got speedstep working yet and it's running at full noise (and heat).

Is there a way this can be fixed?

this is FakeSMC v6 on the screenshot. Use my version or ask Kozlek for update his version.

it works. :)

dell laptop(skylake and kabylake) needs ALS0 dsdt part to load saved brightness when booting. It was confirmed by rehabman and dell laptop users.

https://bitbucket.org/RehabMan/os-x-fakesmc-kozlek/commits/05e0f4bee72461128c461c32eb4f235e48825eaf

if enable ALS0, shown smc key received error on High Sierra. on Sierra, i don't see this smcreadkey error.

kozlek's fakesmc has MSLD key.

thanks

EDIT.

Seems fixes osinstall.mpkg issue related EmuVariableUefi-64.efi on HS

As far as I remember the key MSLD preventing hibernation by LID. So I prefer to exclude it.

More investigations needed.
