Intel Power Gadget on HWMonitorSMC2 (a swift implementation... atm only a log..):

CPU Frequency = 2900
, Processor Power (W) = 5.34
, Processor Energy(J) = 5.34
, Processor Energy(mWh)=1.48
, Package Temp (C) = 63

CPU Frequency = 3100
, Processor Power (W) = 5.61
, Processor Energy(J) = 5.62
, Processor Energy(mWh)=1.56
, Package Temp (C) = 65

Value for frequency is for cpu or for each single core ( :) )? (I hope for hidden features of IPG framework

Interesting is  Processor energy (TDP) and Package temp

No and no possibility to do that, and I think is correct.

see below:

TDP              = 35.00W
Max Temperature = 105°C
Base Frequency = 2494.00
CPU Frequency = 2500
Processor Power = 5.93W
Processor Energy = 5.94J
Processor Energy = 1.65mWh
Package Temp = 61°C

It is almost the same on sourceforge.

I don't know if it is correct but seeing cores separate temperatures or frequency helps in different situation

when you overclock your cpu to understand if all cores scale well or not

if you have a defective core in cpu (or bad thermal pad applied on it) and others situations

but ..ei..for me it is good all parameter you have there and maybe you can add also DRAM W  from IPG framework

Cannot be done with IPG, you have to use IntelCPUMonitor

P.S. The Temperatures and frequencies are just the same using HWSensor-3's plugin

using IntelCPUMonitor kext means also to have to use fakesmc kext

For now I am testing new Virtual SMC and SMCPocessor kext  and I am fine with it

In future I will see :)

Hi all, Intel Power Gadget here..:wink_anim:

In order to make it work you need to install the framenwork and the kext, package available here: Intel Power Gadget 3.5.4 for Mac. Not need to do again if you already have it, do not install on AMD CPU-System.

Note: this version will probably crash w/o the IntelPowerGadget.framenwork installed.

HWMonitorSMC2.app_IPG_beta1.zip

P.S. I need translations for :

"CPU Frequency" = "CPU Frequency"; // Intel Power Gadget
"Processor Power" = "Processor Power"; // Intel Power Gadget
"Processor Energy" = "Processor Energy"; // Intel Power Gadget
"Package Temp" = "Package Temp"; // Intel Power Gadget
"TDP" = "TDP"; // Intel Power Gadget
"Max Temperature" = "Max Temperature"; // Intel Power Gadget
"Thresholds" = "Thresholds"; // Intel Power Gadget
"Base Frequency" = "Base Frequency"; // Intel Power Gadget

Let me know

You can trash SMCProcessor with the new app :P

HWMonitorSMC2.app_IPG_beta1.zip

P.S. Necesito traducciones para :

"CPU Frequency" = "CPU Frequency"; // Intel Power Gadget
"Processor Power" = "Processor Power"; // Intel Power Gadget
"Processor Energy" = "Processor Energy"; // Intel Power Gadget
"Package Temp" = "Package Temp"; // Intel Power Gadget

"Max Temperature" = "Max Temperature"; // Intel Power Gadget
"Thresholds" = "Thresholds"; // Intel Power Gadget
"Base Frequency" = "Base Frequency"; // Intel Power Gadget

Me dejan saber

It does not work here

SMCProcessor, too it is necessary.

IPG cannot completely SMCProcessor.kext

Both are required.

Does not work.

No does nothing, here works without it and without IntelCPMonitor (or else).

Guys, the code is so simple that I suppose that you didn't have required files installed. Please show me the output of:

ls -a /Library/Extensions && ls -a /Library/Frameworks && kextstat | grep Energy

You need to look at documentation on VirtualSMC.
SMCProcessor is made because IPG issues not all information.
SMCProcessor and IPG is required also.

Your driver isn't working and didn't show up in your Terminal screen. And, I don't have VirtualSMC.
