Slice
I didn't remember at this moment where is the restriction. I think it is not difficult to extent it. How many lines on your monitor? is it enough to show all CPU temperatures and all CPU frequencies? I repeat there are the same, no need to see all. Mork vom Ork
for the first time i give up. What am i going to do to make HWSensors3 work with my configuration? First let me explain what i did so far: 1) get latest pkg from SOURCEFORGE 2) mount dmg and put FakeSMC.kext and W836x.kext into the following location: EFI/CLOVER/kextes/Other/ 3) open W836x.kext info.plist file and deleted under "IOKitPersonalities/Winbond W836x Monitor Plugin/Sensors Configuration" the following entries: ASRock, ASUS. Just let the DEFAULT be there. 4) checked DSDT for "Device (LPCB)" entry. 5) searched for SSDT with corresponding Sensor settings (cause i remember, there was one the days i was using ASUS Maximus VIII Extreme. But for the ASRock Z270 Super Carrier non of the SSDT files was given for sensor settings. 6) rebooted with macOS HS 10.13.1 beta3 7) open up HWMonitorSMC.app and got this: As u can see, it seems, that i have wrong settings for some of the values, like "Ambient = 0º" and of cause no Temps for my 2 PCIe Samsung NVMe SSDs (950 Pro and 960 EVO). So i switched back to the ino.plist of W836x.kext and looked, i f i could change some values. But i really have NO intention, what these values means, neither where to get the correct names for it. Also some of the "VINx" entries have given values via "dictionary setup and i don't know why or what for these values are good for. I spend a lot of time with finding well documented Introduction to HWSensors 3 or either Kozleks HWSensor: but NOTHING So i descided to make this post here and hope, that someone is willing to give some detailed information. But first i would like to introduce some information about Super Carriers HWSensor capability under WIN10. So, this is what i get, when booting under WINDOWS10 and use SIV64 (SystemInformationViewer) and read out all the sensor information with it: As you can see here, the mainboard contains NUVOTON chip for LPCB. DonT hesitate about the much fans and temp sensors: they come from the us of CORSAIR Commander mini and Commander pro - and i know, that it will be impossible to read their sensor information under macOS. And i have even more information from AIDIA64, like this one: And with the help of AIDA64 i was able to make this output as a logfile: Sensor Eigenschaften Sensortyp Nuvoton NCT6791D/5538D (ISA 290h) GPU Sensortyp Diode, IRF IR3567B (ATI-Diode, 70h) Motherboard Name ASRock Z270 SuperCarrier Geh‰usezutritt gefunden Nein Temperaturen Motherboard 34 ∞C (93 ∞F) CPU 28 ∞C (82 ∞F) CPU Package 28 ∞C (82 ∞F) CPU IA Cores 27 ∞C (81 ∞F) CPU GT Cores 28 ∞C (82 ∞F) 1. Badruzeus
What is the most likely cause of this occurrence when using FakeSMC? What is the most likely cause of this happening? After normal halt on both 10.11.6 and 10.13.x though. Strange is now using latest Rehabman's FakeSMC fork I'm no longer getting this issue, but was prev FakeSMC 3.5.0: 1. My DSDT? Yes, previously renamed EC0 > EC from my LPCB. (or vice versa; both give same result) 2. NVRAM? Dualboot HFS+ 10.11.6 & APFS 10.13.x seems made nvram on my legacy mach became crazy << /EFI/nvram.plist vs "nvram -p" both give different values, also not working WebDriver under 10.13.x caused of this. (I then reinstalled hSierra with HFS+ and installing r4273 with rc.script on another bootable volume solved the problem for not saved nvda_drv=1 under hSierra) Thanks. a43sj_ioreg_dsdt_config.zip

WinstonAce
I think that the message (which I also get randomly even on proper restarts) is because of different MSSD value. Sent from my ONEPLUS A5000 using Tapatalk

Slice
GeforceSensors is wrong. For my Nvidia Fermi card family GF108 code NVC1 it shows frequencies 3x of real. I can divide then by 3 but it will be wrong for other users. Any thought?
Slice
I corrected GeforceSensor for my card. Take this driver and compare readings with Windows GPU-Z application. Or native control panel. Use debug version if you see a discrepancy. ccozmo
I'm using a Skylake-X (i9-7900X) on the X299 chipset, on High Sierra 10.13.1 & am having troubles getting this working I tried to install this by 1. Downloading HWSensors3v51.dmg 2. Copied the following to \EFI\CLOVER\Kexts\Other\ - FAKESMC.kext - ACPIMontor.kext - IntelCPUMonitor.kext 3. Reboot 4. Open the HWMonitorSMC app All I see is HDD temp and some battery (although am using desktop with no battery). I can't see any motherboard or CPU temp sensors etc. Do I need to do anything else ? Add any more of the kexts ? And are the kext supported by clover or I need them installed in my S/L/E/ ? Thanks

For motherboard sensors and fans you should choose what chip installed on you motherboard if NUVOTON -> W386x.kext if ITE -> IT87x.kext if Fintek -> F718x.kext You may know by own eyes or by AIDA64 report. And the last one is GeforceSensor.kext from my previous post.

ccozmo
You should see CPU temperature. Skylake-X is supported. Give me your report by DarwinDumper (no BIOS, no HTML). Attached is the dump. Thanks ! DarwinDumper.zip
mitch_de
Thanks for the reply, I will get the DarwinDumper - which is the version I should use ? Or does it have to be in SLE ? I have similar probs. Can it be that the FakeSMC sensors can only loaded together with Fakesmc in the Clover / kext? I use IntelCPU with success (its in Clover/kext together with Fakesmc) BUT, if i try to sudo kextload any of (for same Fakesmc version!!!) the sensors -like LPC, GPU, ... i always get that kextload error. PS: I try to kextload the .kext from desktop (already set chown -R root:wheel for that. Sometimes it is better, for only check something, not to use the sensors all time and kextload them. Or did we download some wrong "set" of fakesmc / sensors?

Thanks for the reply I tried putting them in SLE - they loaded fine, but I still do not see any CPU info in HWsensors One last question, here is my AIDA64 sensors - which kext is for this, seems like texas instruments
Slice
The error dependency 'org.netkas.FakeSMC' not found. means you use wrong FakeSMC. Take another one from HWSensors3 project.

If I put the FakeSMC and IntelCPU kexts into SLE, then both load without that error: kextstat -l | egrep -v "com.apple" 21 1 0xffffff7f8265f000 0xd000 0xd000 org.netkas.FakeSMC (3.5.0) A63F6CAD-05B3-335C-8084-9D034A5E7F83 <11 7 5 4 3> 22 0 0xffffff7f8266c000 0x6000 0x6000 org.slice.IntelCPUMonitor (1.2.0) 306E344D-630E-39CC-B0E7-A0F51C3E8461 <21 7 5 4 3> In Clover I put CPU Type =0x0a05 and FakeCPUID as 0x0506E4 otherwise I can't boot - does this cause any issue ? Attached is a new DarwinDumper with both in SLE Also in post 404, I put a screen shot of AIDA64 sensor, which kext does this chipset belong to ? Thanks ! mitch_de
Interesting! Is it possible that FakeSMC must be in /S/L/E if some of the Sensor.kext wanted to be loaded later (after boot) by sudo kextload? Can you try to leave your FakeSMC in /S/L/E but remove IntelCPUMonitor.kext from /S/L/E, reboot after kernel cache got rebuild and then try again sudo kextload IntelCPUMonitor.kext (not from EFI, from somewhere else, be sure to chown -R root:wheel to that kext if moved - otherwise maybe some permissions/owners error can happen. IntelCPUMonitor can of course stay always in use / loaded. But for try of critical (KP & more) sensor.kext it would be much more safe to kextload them - if KP doenst matter because not always injekted/loaded. Slice
Critical sensor.kext can be placed into EFI/CLOVER/kexts/Other and we have an ability to skip this kext from Clover menu.
