iTunes shows, IOReg/.../HDEF/.../AppleHDAEngineOutput@1B,0,1,2/IOAudioEngineNumActiveUsers is not showing.

If you don't have WiFI, you won't have the iTunes menu.

Okay, I see. Have you seen this issue before? Any suggestions on how I should proceed? I noticed there's

AppleHDAEngineOutput@1B,0,1,2/IOAudioEngineUserClient = 0x1, which only shows up for AppleHDAEngineOutput@1B,0,1,2 only. Is that relevant in any way?

I don't have wifi, and the only audio device should be the onboard audio.

The IOReg shows Internal Speakers selected, however, the audio device shows no active users and no iTunes. Verify iTunes is set to Computer.  Reply with new IOReg with iTunes playing.

Edit org.chameleon.Boot.plist/HDAEnabler/No to Yes

No disables audio.

I'm getting there very slowly... Previously I had ran a fresh install with HDA enabled and with it disabled. Attached is it ran with it enabled, the command-100 program was ran and I've attached the text also. the problem is when i restart it once i have audio - it always disappears. Thanks for your patience.

What is the reason for disabling audio?

Why is HDAEnabler1.kext installed?

What else happens between fresh install, install audio and restart to no audio?

Fix: Remove S/L/E/HDAEnabler.kext

In clover -> devices -> audio -> Inject ->"1"

audio_realtekALC-100.command running without errors and warning

There is no reason for disabling the audio, it's just that I've done the update so many times now I was resorting to trial and error. It is enabled though and nothing. The HDAEnabler1.kext was installed after the multi-B installation but deleting that as per the hDAEnabler procedure doesn't help. I'll run a fresh install today and give you a step by step process. Would it be easier on clover? Saying that I've tried both... Is there anything I should look out for that might help you understand what is happening?

Also, when I do a fresh install, the AppleHDA (clean) isn't loaded (and doesn't load if I restart), I need to use a installer to load it before I can run the command100 file, so regardless if it's a modifified file or the clean version it doesn't load.

"Fresh install, AppleHDA isn't loaded"; that is the problem to solve.  Running the installer to run the script is not solving the problem.

In clover configuration set

acpi->FixHDA (enabled)

After I run audio_realtekALC-100.command and reboot

Audio work, all good.

But after some time in unclear circumstances mutes the audio. This rarely happens and I am unable to find out the circumstances under which this occurs. Again to turn on the sound if I will ship the computer to sleep and Wake up, then the sound starts again to work.

What may be a problem?

Thanks Toleda for keeping with me... I know that that is the problem but, no Apple HDA kext loads modified or otherwise. The AppleHDAHArdwareConfigDriver doesn't load either. Today i've made a fresh install and i am now using Clover to boot - same problem, nothing loads. attached is the config.plist. I'm clutching at straws to be honest, it's not like its a weird motherboard. Do you know of this problem occurring with anyone else? I can't see any similar problems in the Forums? would PiperAlpha method do the trick?

@toleda I have a problem with my sound card.

I use your script and see my audio report:

But I put my pin in rear entrance and I don't have Sound!!!!

I put pin in my front entrance and I have a normal sound, but a little noises!!!!!

This is my IOReg,config.plist, Terminal Saved Output and not repaired DSDT.

What may be a problem?

AU LAB reports an audio overload, no idea of the cause and no known fix.  Temporary fixes include quitting coreaudiod or switching audio devices in Preferences.  Have not seen the problem with USB or HDMI audio

no Apple HDA kext loads modified or otherwise.

No native AppleHDA.kext loading may be hardware

No.

No.

Without AppleHDA, USB audio or Voodoo.

I put pin in my front entrance and I have a normal sound, but a little noises!!!!!

Are Headphones plugged in?  If yes, remove them. If no, front panel problem, disconnect from motherboard.

Any noises are case grounding issues.

need troubleshooting help, please

problem:  no audio devices shown in sound control panel

OS X 10.10.1 (fresh reinstall of combo update 10.10.1 in order to restore native AppleHDA.kext)

GA-Z97X-SLI, BIOS F7

ALC1150

I5-4690, HD4600 graphics (no discrete card installed); not using HDMI connector so don't need HDMI audio

used method 1:  realtekALC/patch in place

used script:  audio_realtekALC-100_v1.0.3.command.  output said: AppleHDA.kext has invalid signature; omitting.  i had already reinstalled combo update prior to running the script.

tried layout id injection via dsdt:  tried layout 1,2, and 3  all to no avail

removed layout id dsdt injection, tried clover audio injection, still no audio device shown

<key>Audio</key>

<dict>

<key>Inject</key>

<string>1150</string>

</dict>

(note--above key injects layout ID 7e 04 00 00)

Combo update does not restore native AppleHDA.kext, must use OS X installer.

Missed script note: Verify kext-dev-mode=1 boot flag/argument. Fix add config.plist/Boot/Argument/kext-dev-mode=1

1150 is not a valid Audio ID. Fix: edit config.plist/Devices/Audio/Inject/1

How to fix my output in motherboard??

Did not answer question: Are Headphones plugged in?

Front panel mutes motherboard audio

yes, i missed the fact that the version of config.plist i was using did not have kext-dev-mode=1 in Boot/Arguments.

that was the problem, plus, of course, setting layoutID to 1.

in my case, the 10.10.1 update HAD properly installed a fresh version of AppleHDA so the patch i had run previously was in fact correct and the patched kext was fine.

thanks once again for your dedication to the Hack community!

Hi

This is my first post here. I'm pretty new to the hackintosh scene, and I'd almost finished my new computer.

My next challenge is to activate my audio card.

I did follow the instructions of the post 1, but I didn't understood correctly all steps.

My Audio chipset is ALC892 which is included on my motherboard ASUS X79

I'm using Yosemite 10.10.1 and Clover

Here is my issues :

- IORegistryExplorer is unable to find something when I type HDEF

- Pref System and/or System Infos don't see anything into Audio Panel

So, actually I can't locate my layout-id.

Note : I'm not sure to have the original AppleHDA.kext. How I can retrieve the original one ? From another mac with the same Yosemite version ?

Thanks for your help

Regards

I disabled VoodooHDA in Ozmosis and attempted to patch AppleHDA using script but says 'no codec found.' It worked last time I tried this, prior to re-installation, not sure what changed.

Edit: Patched DSDT and appears to have fixed the 'no codec found' issue, I ran the script, but still no sound.

2nd Edit: Disabling VoodooHD didn't take the first time, once disabled sound works great.
