carlocav
Hi. I have 2 problems: - The installation doesn't recognize my hard drive. Do I need to inject a kext? (My motherboard has no AHCI mode, only ATA and RAID mode). - The installation only boot with Nvidia Injector enabled, but the installation interface is really slow and the processor fan makes a lot of noise so I think the injector isn't optimized. Where can I find a better kext for my Nvidia GTS 240 GPU? Thank you !
davidcmc
Tried almost everything. Changed Intel Injection to NO. Changed Nvidia Injection to YES. Changed ProductName (under SMBIOS) to iMac12,2 (Clover is pre-defining my system as iMac12,1). Changed from HDMI to DVI port. Tried with npci=0x2000 and npci=0x3000. Tried with PCIRootUID=1. Tried with kext-dev-mode=1. The problem persists. "DSMOS has arrived" appears and quickly the screen goes black. The external HD still blinks the led, indicating there's reading activity. According to this FAQ http://clover-wiki.zetam.org/FAQ#Q:-The-system-hangs-after-Waiting-for-DSMOS.-It-looks-like-my-HDD-keeps-working., my video card isn't being initialized. It says that I should try enabling and disabling the Inject configs in config.plist, but I've tried that already. My hardware is: Intel Core i5 2400 (Sandy Bridge) GigaByte H67MA-USB3-B3 ALC889 RTL8111E EVGA GeForce GTX 760 Maybe Clover is just incompatible with this VGA... I've managed to boot the installer with nv_disable=1, but that's not how it's supposed to work. The VGA is supposed to work OOB, I don't know why I'm getting the black screen after DSMOS has arrived message.
ramontorres
Did you choose the right options during Clover installation? I just left the default options untouched and it installed the necessary drivers in Drivers64UEFI folder (VBoxHFS, etc). I will try checking the first option (Install for UEFI booting only), it was unchecked by default. I can't paste a screenshot here, only ask me for an URL and the image it's in my desktop. inaCUMB
Try to set, in bios, the usb device as first boot option. Save settings, reboot. I have tried this, it's always the same result, no matter if USB is loaded first or I select to load it by hand.
Guest patel4prez
My install hangs on "NTFS Volume name , version 3.1" and does nothing. Any help? If you are trying to install to a drive that has Windows on it already, that may be the cause. I've run into this once or twice before and had to format my disk BEFORE attempting to install OS X. StrangeNoises
I have tried this, it's always the same result, no matter if USB is loaded first or I select to load it by hand. I had this. To fix this, I had to swap out the VBoxHFS-64.efi for the HFSPlus.efi as it says in the first post; although the link there is broken and i got it from elsewhere. I'm stuck later :-( At a white apple logo on a black screen, a progress bar at 0, and a spinning beachball. Also I'd actually successfully done the first part of the installation to a freshly-formatted driver earlier; but have never been able to get it to reboot back into it. Clover now doesn't seem to detect it.

dafber
I have used your installation guide. 100% success, very stable system, very fast, with the exception of imesssage everything else is working perfectly. FaceTime Sound Sleep, Hibernate, shutdown, reboot, Booting takes about 10-12 seconds. My system: MOBO: GA Z87X-UDH5 (bios: F10c) CPU: i7 4770k RAM: 32 GB SSD: 480 GB Raid 0: 6 TB Nvidia: 730 GTX 2 GB Installation started without any argument, After Installation booted again from the usb selected the newly installed system, Installed bootloader, injected AppleHDA, Except sound, anything else worked out of the box. ggzz
Okay, I too made the mistake of not selecting Install to ESP... My bad. Installed and fixed that now, and have attached my config file below. Honestly, I'm a bit of a noob when it comes to Clover, so I'm not too sure what to look for... config.plist.zip Thanks again for all the help. Holy.. Sorry for the late reply.. damn.. why did you enable EVERYTHING? Did you generate this config? You literally have ALL the options enabled. Why bother using the DSDT then? Try this config.plist and let me know if it works.. If not, I'll edit it again (if using a DSDT, which you seem to be using): <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?> <!DOCTYPE plist PUBLIC "-//Apple//DTD PLIST 1.0//EN" "http://www.apple.com/DTDs/PropertyList-1.0.dtd"> <plist version="1.0"> <dict> <key>ACPI</key> <dict> <key>DSDT</key> <dict> <key>Debug</key> <false/> <key>Fixes</key> <dict> <key>AddDTGP_0001</key> <false/> <key>AddMCHC_0008</key> <false/> <key>FakeLPC_0020</key> <false/> <key>FixAirport_4000</key> <false/> <key>FixDarwin_0002</key> <false/> <key>FixDisplay_0100</key> <false/> <key>FixFirewire_0800</key> <false/> <key>FixHDA_8000</key> <false/> <key>FixHPET_0010</key> <false/> <key>FixIDE_0200</key> <false/> <key>FixIPIC_0040</key> <false/> <key>FixLAN_2000</key> <false/> <key>FixSATA_0400</key> <false/> <key>FixSBUS_0080</key> <false/> <key>FixShutdown_0004</key> <false/> <key>FixUSB_1000</key> <false/> <key>NewWay_80000000</key> <false/> <key>FIX_RTC_20000</key> <false/> <key>FIX_TMR_40000</key> <false/> <key>AddIMEI_80000</key> <false/> <key>FIX_INTELGFX_100000</key> <false/> <key>FIX_WAK_200000</key> <false/> <key>DeleteUnused_400000</key> <false/> <key>FIX_ADP1_800000</key> <false/> <key>AddPNLF_1000000</key> <false/> <key>FIX_S3D_2000000</key> <false/> <key>FIX_ACST_4000000</key> <false/> <key>AddHDMI_8000000</key> <false/> <key>FixRegions_10000000</key> <false/> </dict> <key>Name</key> <string>DSDT.aml</string> </dict> <key>HaltEnabler</key> <false/> <key>SSDT</key> <dict> <key>Generate</key> <dict> <key>CStates</key> <true/> <key>PStates</key> <true/> </dict> <key>EnableC7</key> <false/> <key>EnableC6</key> <true/> <key>EnableC4</key> <false/> <key>EnableC2</key> <false/> </dict> </dict> <key>Boot</key> <dict> <key>DefaultVolume</key> <string>MacHDD</string> <key>Fast</key> <false/> <key>Legacy</key> <string>PBR</string> <key>Log</key> <false/> <key>Timeout</key> <integer>5</integer> <key>XMPDetection</key> <string>-1</string> </dict> <key>Devices</key> <dict> <key>Audio</key> <dict> <key>Inject</key> <string>No</string> </dict> <key>FakeID</key> <dict> <key>ATI</key> <string>0x0</string> <key>IntelGFX</key> <string>0x0</string> <key>LAN</key> <string>0x0</string> <key>NVidia</key> <string>0x0</string> <key>SATA</key> <string>0x0</string> <key>WIFI</key> <string>0x0</string> <key>XHCI</key> <string>0x0</string> <key>IMEI</key> <string>0x0</string> </dict> <key>Inject</key> <false/> <key>USB</key> <dict> <key>AddClockID</key> <true/> <key>FixOwnership</key> <true/> <key>Inject</key> <true/> </dict> </dict> <key>DisableDrivers</key> <array> <string>Nothing</string> </array> <key>GUI</key> <dict> <key>Hide</key> <array> <string>Windows</string> <string>BOOTX64.EFI</string> </array> <key>Language</key> <string>en:0</string> <key>Mouse</key> <dict> <key>Enabled</key> <true/> <key>Speed</key> <integer>8</integer> </dict> <key>Scan</key> <dict> <key>Entries</key> <true/> <key>Legacy</key> <true/> <key>Tool</key> <true/> </dict> <key>TextOnly</key> <false/> <key>Theme</key> <string>metal</string> </dict> <key>Graphics</key> <dict> <key>Inject</key> <dict> <key>ATI</key> <false/> <key>Intel</key> <true/> <key>NVidia</key> <false/> </dict> <key>PatchVBios</key> <false/> </dict> <key>KernelAndKextPatches</key> <dict> <key>AppleRTC</key> <true/> <key>AsusAICPUPM</key> <false/> <key>Debug</key> <false/> <key>KernelCpu</key> <false/> <key>KextsToPatch</key> <array> <dict> <key>Comment</key> <string>External icons patch</string> <key>Find</key> <data>RXh0ZXJuYWw=</data> <key>Name</key> <string>AppleAHCIPort</string> <key>Replace</key> <data>SW50ZXJuYWw=</data> </dict> </array> </dict> <key>RtVariables</key> <dict> <key>LogEveryBoot</key> <string>10</string> <key>LogLineCount</key> <integer>3000</integer> <key>MountEFI</key> <true/> </dict> <key>SystemParameters</key> <dict> <key>InjectKexts</key> <string>Detect</string> <key>InjectSystemID</key> <true/> </dict> </dict> </plist>

HooDude
Hi everyone, sorry for the newbie question. The guide says "Copy FakeSMC and Network kexts to /EFI/Clover/kexts/10.10 (you’ll have to create the 10.10 folder}", but I do not know where to find these kexts in order to copy them to the clover kexts folder. I was able to download a FakeSMC kext from one of the posts in this thread, but I do not know where to get the Network kext. Thanks for your help! Johnny V
Still no luck... Followed all the directions... After I select USB in the bios boot menu it can't get past the "Loading Operating System..." on black screen. Just sits there for 30+ minutes and more. I tried using Clover_v2k_r2953 and Clover_v2k_r2957. My hack has been running 10.8 and 10.9 for over two years with not one problem. Weird I can't get to boot... I'm no rookie but feel like one!
