Untill yesterday my Yosemite DP3 was working fine... but today it stops at APPLEKEXTEXCLUDEDLIST... what could it be? Rebuild Kernel Cache?

If so, how can I do it without booting to Yosemite? I have another partition with Mavericks...

I'm sending a picture and my boot.plist

Can anyone help me?

Thank you!

Using Chameleon_2.2svn_r2380_10.10_CBv2

My Boot.plist are:

DropSSDT

Yes

EthernetBuiltIn

Yes

GraphicsEnabler

Yes

Kernel

/System/Library/Kernels/kernel

Kernel Flags

-v kext-dev-mode=1

Legacy Logo

Yes

Theme

Default

Timeout

3

UseKernelCache

Yes

It's FileNVRAM.dylib.

Thank you, ADHDMedia !

I'll try without NVRAM.dlyb... but I think I can't login to Messages without NVRAM.dylib...

Yup.  Once you get the cache rebuilt you should be able to drop FileNVRAM.dylib back into your Modules folder.  For whatever reason, it just doesn't get past AppleKextExcludeList when you try to boot without caches with Chameleon.  I didn't stick around on Chameleon for long enough to find out why lol

Hi,

I had similar symptoms and fixed it by removing the Kernel Flag :

<key>Kernel</key>
<string>/System/Library/Kernels/kernel</string>

Using 2391.

Good luck

Tried chameleon on DP2, it said error parsing plist or something like that.. god dammit

Tried Clover same DP2, it goes to a grey screen, and stays there. It says I have another GPU, 280x but I have a HD 7950 ...

Never used clover before.

Also, are the new features working with an external BT 4.0 dongle?

Tried to found my iPhone with a BT 4.0 dongle and had no sucess...

I'll try it later, at home. But I remember that could not boot to Yosemite using Chameleon 2391... In fact, I wish I could use Clover, but I always had no sucess configuring it...

I thought would be the opposite. I mean, first drop NVRAM to Modules Folder, then rebuild the cache and restart.

I have this "problem" with Yosemite.

Schermata 2014-07-10 alle 22.59.04.png

Serial number: Not available

With this I can't connect to iMessage and FaceTime.

The same Serial Number is totally functional in Mavericks/Mountain Lion/Lion ecc...

So i updated to DP2, and now my System refuses to boot. No matter which settings and boot flags i choose in clover

I tried now with and without: safe mode, verbose mode, single user mode and loading fakesmc explicitly (alone and in combinations) and nothing got OS X to boot successfully

Reinstall the update? Mine failed as well and I just booted up again and ran it one more time, worked like a charm.

I'm also curious if anyone else is not able to turn on Automatic Login for the main account?  It will let me enable it for a Guest User, but not for my main user.  Can anyone else confirm this or is it just me?

My main account is setup with auto login and everything is working fine, I don't have the Guest account

Ya I can't figure out why it won't let me enable Auto Login. I went into security and check this out, there's no account.

Can't enable from login options either.

***EDIT***

Hey, just figured it out!  If anyone else has this issue, it's because I was logging into OSX using my iCloud password.  I went in and changed it to a 'Separate Password' and the 'Automatic Login' option immediately opened up.  NO idea why these two settings would affect each other, but it is what it is.  Fixed it now lol

iMessages still not working.

I have deleted all the network preferences, made another smbios with new serial and etc... and nothing, no way.

And every time that Yosemite loads I have a pop up from iCloud asking my password.

App Store is working.

And now, every time I restart I have white artifacts on black background in my screen.

Don't know what else I can try... some sugestions?  :(

Try resetting your apple password on a real advice or real Mac, that was the only thing that worked for me

Anyone with both IOS8 and DP3 to report if Handoff is already working? Here's not yet. Also. The new iCloud drive cannot see yet some files, such as Garageband-iOS projects. The reason is, even after I installed iOS8, the said apps keep pushing the files to iCloud the old way (so i must open them from, e.g.: /my-user/Library/MobileDocuments/Garageband, without clicking directly on the MobileDocuments folder, which would take me to iCloud drive and thus I wouldn't be able to see the projects). Other files, such as Pages projects, are syncing fine with iCloud drive though: it depends on the app.

Downgraded to iOS 7.1.1 as soon as Pangu came out! Sorry man. Don't have a BT 4.0 dongle either so I'm not in a hurry to get back to iOS 8. All the cool new features I want to use rely on BT LE.

What boot loader are you using?

Did you make sure you had 17 characters in your serial number? Had to change that once before to fix iMessage.

ASUS haswell simply won't boot a legecy bootloader on GPT be it on the EFI partition or not. also my SSD needs CSM disabled so what good is a legecy bootloader, I use PCIe SSDs.

My setup can boot legacy wit a GPT disk with cham

Maximus VII Gene Z97:)

On my ex MVIG, problem yep.

EDIT : but you can boot with a MBR USB pen a GPT disk ;)

ADHDMedia,

Yes, 17 caracters in my serial number... don't know more what I can try...

Anyway, I've decided to give Clover a chance... and guess what? Clover is working fine on Mavericks!!! Nice!!!

But, (always has a "but", hehehe), in Yosemite, it stuck on "Missing Bluetooth bla bla bla" (as seen on attachment), ... it´s the same config.plist that I have in Mavericks, I only added "kextdevmode=1"...

I think I'll try to learn how Clover works... I don't know if I'm wrong, but, I´m seeing Chameleon on a slow pace... and maybe, Clover be the future.

Make sure you have FakeSMC.kext in /EFI/Clover/kext/Other folder, to use Clover on multiple OS installs and save space use the Other folder for your kext. Unless you have a specific OS version kext

I have FakeSMC.kext in Yosemite S/L/E... do I need to put Fake also in /EFI/Clover/kext/Other ?

What I did was to install Clover on external USB... and so I had success to load Mavericks... so, I installed Clover on Yosemite Partition, (not USB), and took the Config.plist from Mavericks adding kextdevmode=1 to it.

Resuming, clover on external USB, (for testing, before installing over Chameleon), to load Mavericks and Clover on Yosemite partition to load only Yosemite for now.

Sometimes having FakeSMC.kext in S/L/E caused me issues so I just moved all the kext I needed to Clover and had Clover inject the kext on the fly, which means you don't need the kext-dev-mode=1 argument
