Agostino9446
Ahh. Ya I don't use either anymore. Honestly, the ideal Photo Stream setup for me would just be built into the Finder. I really don't wanna have to open another piece of software in order to get my photos that I would end up editing somewhere else. Lame lol Well this blows. Just got my new dongle today and it seems there is no support for Handoff even with 4.0 LE. Also lame lol so for now...no one have handoff working? rlf
"sudo softwareupdate --ignore ThunderboltFirmwareUpdate1.2-1.2" didn't work for me. This update just doesn't want to go away. Go to Software Update in the Mac App Store. On the “Update” button, right click and select “Hide Update”.

theconnactic
Mnfesq, did you try to actually install the update? It was what solved the issue for me. Retro, Aperture didn't work for me since the beginning of Yosemite. Perhaps I'm just unlucky. TheBoatman and ADHD: like I said to mnfesq and lisai elsewhere, no dongles work with handoff, and I'm skeptical they will ever be made to work. TheBoatman
i recently bought tp link wdn 4800...now i don't want to spend much money...so there isn't a blueetooth dongle or adapter cheapy? Not that I know of, that actually works with Yosemite and handoff. There have been many posts about this problem - google it. The good thing about the Broadcom is that it does not need any 3rd party kexts or changes. It appears expensive but the adapter card and a plugin daughter card is very cleverly engineered to work on a hack, and it connects to PCIe and USB the later two wires for usb data in and out, and sees it as real Apple WiFi and Bluetooth module. If you are interested in the functionality of OS X its well worth the outlay as it actually works.

I'm working on getting GM 1.0 installed, but it appears to be essentially the same build so who knows if it will work. Up until B4 I had Continuity and Handoff support, and it was (and still is for wifi at least) recognized as an Airport Extreme card in system profiler. Hopefully it was just a glitch during the update.
ADHDMedia
Did you try a right click on the update description (This update provides...) and click "Hide Update"? I had that happen to me with the Twitter app back on Mavs. Not sure what fixed it lol sorry So am I incorrect in assuming that even tho Handoff requires BT 4.0 LE to work, it's the wifi card that needs to be compatible somehow? I'm lost.

Anyone more knowledgable than I am wanna weigh in? No one thinks this is possible? If our wifi card has the necessary capabilities, and our BT device also has the necessary properties, why wouldn't it be possible to just "convince" the system we have "compatible" hardware?

Sorry, I noticed just now that you tried "hide update" so many times... Well, if you are using clover, try replacing the "bios version" with the most actual version that a real mac has I am using this Bios version MBP81.88Z.0047.B24.1110141131 on a MacBookPro8,2 Hackintosh, maybe it will help you. Stefan Milev
How about FaceTime. Did you guys try it? I don't know on which DP happened, but when I video FaceTime with someone our voices sound strange. It's like they are played with 2X or 3X fast forward speed. Does not sound natural. Basically it works but the voices are strange. I don't have it on Mavericks. Hardware is fine.
