kext-dev-mode=1 and boot with no kernelcache (depend by the bootloader are you using)

if work, then rebuild your kernelcache

i found out that this is a Kernel issue, i need the DP3 mach_kernel, if anyone have this please.. could you upload??

EDIT

if the DP3 has a new kernel, probably the installer (...the Update by Apple) has replace it in /System/Library/Kernels/Kernel (where the Yosemite kernel lives)

So you not need nothing

He was just making fun of me, apple didn't reintroduced.

Yes it is, but I hope nobody will be offended  :) .

I'm just thinking that someone needs to change its automated system to make USB installer, no?

:hysterical:

Maybe, why not? I've been away from the Hackintosh world for like 2 years, 2 weeks from now and i have Yosemite and Mavericks running fairly good! I think i'll catch up in the next few months... I'm really not lucky, the dark mode is not appearing in my settings.

Fast and flawless upgrade from DP2 to DP3.

So far, I noticed that Finder is working better and that devices listed in the sidebar stay put once you select them in settings.

Sorry I'm stuck at DP1  (no more time in these last days) and I never tried the dark mode, so I can not give advice to anyone in this

If you guys got boot logo working on stage 1 boot not stage 2 why won't u share how you did it?

OSInstaller it's a "cocoa application/private framenwork" if I'm not mistaken, maybe needs to find everything in order, or we need to patch its binary.

There's a plist in /Packages called InstallableMachines.plist, i don't know if can help... I can't try ATM

I usually boot in verbose mode, before it boots in the OS the graphics get destroyed and the computer boots.
I have tried kext-dev-mode=1, safe mode, single user but none works.

Everything worked flawless the other upgrades..

Here is a screenshoot just before booting up and the graphics destroys and the system reboots.

Doesn't look like I need to patch OpenCL this time to stop my card sticking in a high-power state. It clocks down fine after benchmarking and viewing with Preview.

However as long as Preview is open the card runs near full speed. Even if I've closed the image. It only clocks down when I quit Preview.

iMovie runs in full-screen now. Dunno if that's a DP3 fix or due to not having to patch OpenCL.

Aperture isn't blacking-out images any more (was happening with some raw files). The same raws were going black in Preview but that too is no longer happening.

One weird bug I'm seeing is if I hold the mouse over a menubar icon (bluetooth, volume etc) it will blink. Is anyone else getting that? Dunno if it might be iStat Menus doing it or not. Don't want to disable it to find out.

OSInstaller framenwork have this plist inside its Resources folder:BlackBackgroundCompatibleMachines.plist.zip

Is there anyone that can try to edit it, and report back?

you must replace it in

/Volumes/Your Installer/System/Library/PrivateFrameworks/OSInstaller.framework/Versions/A/Resources/BlackBackgroundCompatibleMachines.plist

same here...I'm able to install and reboot, but after next boot, I keep getting kernel cache errors.  tried everything and went back to dp2.

You can't tell me iMac14,2 is unsupported, that makes no sence.

Update seems to have gone fine and DP3 is much snappier for me that DP2. DP2 gave me beach balls everytime I changed app focus or switched between monitors. However after updating iTunes doesn't launch. I just get a message that "iTunes cannot be opened because of a problem. Check with the developer to make sure iTunes works with this version of OS X yada yada yada." Anybody else having trouble with iTunes in DP3?

EDIT: NVM. After repairing permissions and rebooting it seems to be working. Although it looks like the iTunes store still has an issue with loading content. Nothing but blank backgrounds.

We are not even talking about the installer but the actual yos boot.
