devBrian
NP510R5E-S01PH Intel i7 Processor 8GB DDR3 128GB SSD AMD 8750M + Intel 4000 (Enduro) The problem here is the Enduro switchable graphics. I can't disable them in the BIOS. No matter what I do, DSDT settings, boot strings, etc... nothing works. I can't boot my vanilla USB, no matter what I try to boot with, Clover or Chameleon. I've tried ig-platform-id and all. I know it's the AMD issue, can I just use the 4000 card without disabling the AMD card?

Use appropriate ig-platform-id for HD4000. Eventually, you'll want to disable AMD using DSDT/SSDT edits. That way you can have it enabled in BIOS and still use it in Windows. I've removed all the AMD kexts, but I can't disable the Radeon card in BIOS. Thoughts? I've tried all the ig-platform-id options as well, but I always get a scrambled screen when I try to install. Would there be any boot arguments I need to add to this?

devBrian
What is your screen resolution? What bootloader are you using? 1366x768, using the latest version of Clover. Extra info: I have a VGA/HDMI port. I believe my 4000 is ig-platform-id = 0x01660003 if that helps.

Use that ig-platform-id. It is correct for HD4000/1366x768. You may wish to instruct Clover to inject EDID. Also, you may try add dart=0 (or disable VT-d from BIOS if possible). Finally, boot verbose so you can see what is happening.

I'll update the progress here when it's done.
