Hi, I'm new here and I do have Mavericks working on my Samsung laptop but there are issues both major and minor. I'm hoping somebody will help me out with either some downloads that I require or whatever is needed.

Here are my specs:

Samsung Series 7 Chronos NP700Z5A-S01 Notebook CPU Intel Core i7 2670QM @ 2.20GHz Sandy Bridge 32nm Technology

RAM 8.00GB Dual-Channel DDR3 @ 665MHz (9-9-9-24)

Motherboard Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd. 700Z3A/700Z4A/700Z5A/700Z5B (CPU)

Graphics Generic PnP Monitor (1600x900@60Hz) Intel Mobile Intel HD Graphics (Samsung) 1024MB ATI AMD Radeon 6750M (Samsung)

Storage 750GB Hitachi HTS727575A9E364 (SATA) 7GB SanDisk iSSD P4 8GB (SSD)

Optical Drives MAT{censored}A DVD-RAM UJ8A7AS

Audio Intel Display Audio Realtek High Definition Audio

First Issue (Major): No wireless internet. Needless to say this is necessary and I'd really like to get this going. As things stand now I'll have to download what I need on my main computer and transfer the files to a USB stick. I'd like to get this running before anything else. According to CPU-Z my wireless is a Broadcom BCM43225 802.11b/g/n.

Second Issue (Minor-ish): Graphics. Right now things are set up so that Mavericks is using the "Stretch To Fit" option and while it doesn't look *too* bad, it doesn't look very good either. I only have one resolution listed, 1024X768, and my screens native resolution is 1600X900. From searching I've seen that there's a free app in the Mac App Store which adds additional resolutions but of course I can't download this app until I get working wireless internet. Also, graphics related I have an AMD Radeon 6750M graphics card in this laptop and I'd like to get that working as well. I'll be posting a screenshot I took from the System Info program that shows the components that are on my laptop.BTW since this post I've found out that Mavericks is using the Intel 3000 HD and not the Radeon 6750M for the graphics display.

Third Issue (Minor): The computer that I'm running Mavericks on is, as I mentioned, a laptop but when I go to the "About this Mac" window and  "More Info" to check out the specs I'm shown a picture of a tower computer instead of a Mac Book or Mac Book Pro laptop. I know this is pretty minor but how do I get the picture of the laptop to show up?  Thanks in advance for any help. Edit: Added System Info screenshot.

download charmelon wizard, put it on a thumb drive, and make a smbios of a macbookpro with hd 3000... possibly macbook pro 2011? since that has both hd3000 and hd 6750m i believe...

it is essentially a model identifier. if you select a model (of a mac) that doen't have hd3000, graphics will probably not work...

I did a google search on it last night, it seems pretty intriguing and it looks like it would solve a lot of hardware issues but there's one website that mentions if you do it wrong you may end up with a system that won't boot. I did bookmark a couple of sites and it's something to consider if I decide to try this on another computer. BTW the mouse issues I was having are gone. It was just a matter of going into the mouse settings and adjusting the speed. Sometimes when you're anxious you overlook the obvious.   Hoping to get the other issues resolved soon.
