create a backup from S/L/Extensions on desktop, install update, replace from desktop /Extensions/ following files: System.kext and Sandbox.kext to S/L/Extensions, and run *1 MacKext then reboot your System

*1 (after installation of the update) Kext Utility makes problems therefore it is advisable to use MacKext for to repair the permissions and clear the kernel cache and refresh. )

~~but I will make first a test without Replacing the two files, then hope that no OPEMU: UD2 message comes~~

as might be expected, I received the message OPEMU UD2 without changes in S / L / Extensions.

Then I replaced only the Sandbox.kext, the system starts without any error message!

Final combo update 10.9.2 run fine on my AMD Phenom x6 & Gigabyte GA 880GM USB3.
Install update and replace System.kext and Sandbox.kext from 10.9.1 and backup my kernel (Run fine in 10.9.0 and 10.9.1). Reboot and everything is ok.

the update can either be made via combo update or created via the OS X software update.
Via software update, it is necessary to have a second partition with a runnable OSX or Windows or Linux.

Perform the OS X software update, after download the update calls up the system for the remaining species, not make the hackintosh during the update.

after the update, the system performs a restart by now boot either with the second OSX - partition or Linux or Windows. Once you have started using the other runnable operating system, run a replace of System.kext and Sandbox.kext from Mavericks 10.9,

via combo update you have more time, then renew via MacKext or Kext Wizard, the two kexts from 10.9, delete kernel cache and renew and repair the HD Permissions.

( Just FYI
Each Mavericks kernel has the same bug as all AMD kernel based on the opcode of Sinetek and Andy van Dijk .
As long as the error is not corrected, the rollback must be made after each update )

Hi everybody,

I am new here in this forum

I've updated my Niresh Mavericks install to 10.9.2, updated my kernel and I replaced my System.next. Only mistake I made is that I didn't make a backup of my Sandbox.kext so I cannot replace that. I have a Ubuntu live CD so the replacing procces is not the problem.

If somebody will upload it here I would be very happy

I have everything updated again, now it worked, only the rollback of 10.9 (System.kext and Sandbox.kext)

Hi Andy,

The first tests with 10.9.3 running as the previous beta updates very good for my hardware.

No problems with the graphics card so far. All Adobe tools run very smoothly and easily without

any crashes as if I had an Intel hackintosh.

Unfortunately, I can not boot with your last BSA_R9. The boot process will hang.

The BSA_R8 kernel and your previous kernel versions all run fine with my hardware.

It is very unfortunate that Apple for holding back the source code for the kernel for 10.9.1, 10.9.2 and 10.9.3.

It struck me that if I want to copy the folder System/Library/Extensions/ * to import the folder to another place

I get close to the end of the transfer process, a few transfer errors.

This behavior, I have found only since the beta version 10.9.2. In all previous versions I could easily transfer the Extensions

folder without any transfer error message.

Can it be possibly that Apple is aware of no more publish the source code.
Since the operating system is free and they do not have the intention to release the source code in the future.

it won't be the end of hackintoshes as there is always a solution there but it would be the end of proper AMD hackintoshing (or legacy).

it seems so far they are releasing less and less sources... not even the GPL licensed components for which they MUST release the sources...

it's a big fat shame... they started releasing less with every major OS upgrade... :S

for SSSE3 capable AMDs that would be partially possible but not fully working...

needs:

- Cache detection patch

- TSC detection patch

- Penryn cpufamily forced

This would enable boot but still have the issue of only 64bit apps working

the opemu can't be included in patched kernel so no 32bit apps and no old cpus

Andy, couldn't the opemu be included as some sort of kernel extension? A kernel patcher module designed specifically for AMD machines would be a real big improvement, since it would enable iCloud services to work natively. If meklort be kind enough to release the sources of his own module it would be a great starting point.
