Andy Vandijck
Andy, Can you explain in plain English what os this kext for? And what is the different compare to Appleatapiix? Thank you. SuperVIAATA is a PATA/SATA driver for VIA chipsets. It enables hard disks, DVD drive, etc... The diff is what is needed to make such drivers work perfectly from SL and above.

Andy Vandijck
I decided to mail Apple about these updates I made. I prepared a dropbox folder for them containing my updates. https://www.dropbox.com/sh/5udwzfag6nr6506/AAAYJxYV0oWfckS9UBQ-wyUSa?dl=0 Couldn't resist but send 2 mails: opensource@apple.com tcook@apple.com Lets hope they implement some of the updates in a later version. angelol
Explaining roughly, you can create boot.efi one that supports the i386 architecture (32bit) this way you get INSTALLING Yosemite in 32 bits, currently from Mountain Lion OSX only supports 64bit x86_64. I think that's it. Congratulations Andy. Judging from that, u are telling me that I can boot yosemite in a single core 32bit cpu machine?
Andy Vandijck
Judging from that, u are telling me that I can boot yosemite in a single core 32bit cpu machine? No it does require 64-bit but now you can use a 32-bit EFI only Mac. 32-bit single core would require kernel and kext's (not available yet). Andy Vandijck
I created an enhanced version of IOPCIFamily for Yosemite. It was even enhanced with CardBus support and scans the entire PCI bus. It is fully updated to run fast and reliable. I prebuilt versions for debug and release. Github repo's: https://github.com/andyvand/IOPCIFamily.git https://github.com/andyvand/IOPCCardFamily NOTE: The Github repo's will always contain the latest IOPCIFamily / IOPCCardFamily available Enjoy EDIT: Fixed some issues, now properly loads. Also added pciutils-3.3.0 and built the supplemental tools. Tools require debug=0x144 boot argument in order to work (needs PCI debugging). I also added my own version of IOPCCardFamily (and built it all). If people are wondering: where are the binaries ? -> build/Deployment or build/Development and tools. Have fun EDIT: New version. I removed dependency upon Apple private components and I added necessary replacement functions. It directly determines now the VMM feature, gets directly any cache line size it needs (both Intel and AMD). I also provided strnstr replacement.
