xangel9626
@Druvix - I don't use servers, but if I did, I don't think I would use a laptop. Other than that, it should work just fine. @Phiber - I'd request a new group.......

capotchino
Thanks it worked for me but i have a problem on my dell Inspiron 1720 broadcome 440x ethernet it always show self assigned ip i thought the problem in my router but the cable works fine in another mac and another pc so how can i fix this issue ? and is there any solution to enable intel 3945 wireless in mavericks ? Thanks again
xangel9626
@capotchino - try manually assigning an IP address and see if that works. I'll see what I can do to get DHCP working for you later. Intel wifi cards will not work, I don't think anyone has been successful.
capotchino
@xangel9626 thank you for ur reply and ur support I tried to enter ip manually but didn't work too Is there any solution?
xangel9626
Does your org.chameleon.Boot.plist have Max_valid_dma_addr=1024 in it? Also, did you follow the post installation steps in the first post or the ones in post #84 on page 5?
capotchino
Yes it contains : max_valid_dma_addr=1024 drakewake=0 Should i remove drakewake=0? And yes i followed the post steps on page one, am i wrong??
xangel9626
Darkwake just helps with waking from sleep. It would be best if you use the post installation from page 5 since it contains the exact files and steps you need. The best advice is to follow my steps exactly using only the files that I have given, then if you need to modify anything for your specific configuration, do so after you are able to get your system running. Ethernet should work properly if everything was done correctly. Sometimes it's a bit of a challenge to get everything correct in one shot. One other thing, could you post your system configuration in your signature? It helps us know what we are looking for when we try to correct problems. capotchino
Yeah you are right I'm using your smbios and dsdt cuz i dont have mine is there any problem ? Thanks xangel9626 I will give it a try and tell you
xangel9626
Since you were able to get a booting system before using my smbios and DSDT, you are good. The kexts that I provided should get other system devices working properly with exception to your Intel wifi card. Keep me informed of your progress. capotchino
I tried all steps on page 5 but still the same issue tried ip manually but the same .... Should i use Ethernet built-in on chameleon.boot ??
xangel9626
You could try Ethernet built in, but you shouldn't need it. If you are using the AppleBCM440Xethernet kext, then it should be working with the only needed addition of Max_valid_dma_addr=1024 in the chameleon.boot.plist. Try deleting your Ethernet in system preferences and adding it back and see if that changes anything.
capotchino
I have already tried Ethernet built in and removed Ethernet and added it back but still self assigned ip and reinstalled mavericks but nothing changed I'm sorry man for annoying u with my problem
xangel9626
You're not annoying me, the reason I made this is to help people that need help. I'm assuming that you plugged an Ethernet cable in and tried using safari?
capotchino
Yes this is what i did and also tried the cable on another pc and worked
xangel9626
I'll have to do some checking and get back with you, I'm at a loss at the moment. It's amazing the type of problems everyone is having on the same computer using the same instructions......
capotchino
Okay take your time
xangel9626
Try deleting com.apple.alf.plist in the /Library/Preferences/ folder, then restart your computer. Once the computer restarts, you might have to accept some prompts about allowing incoming connections. Also, did you install 10.9 then upgrade to 10.9.1 or are you did you install straight to 10.9.1?
capotchino
I will try it right now ...Yes i have installed 10.9.1 directly is this the problem ? there are two mavericks versions : (13A603) (13A598) which onw i should download ?
xangel9626
I read that sometimes there are issues with IP addresses when upgrading from one version to the next. Build 13A598 is the Gold Master, while 13A603 is the retail release. I started with 10.9 from the App store, got everything working, then upgraded to 10.9.1. Installing 10.9.1 downloaded from the App store should work with my instructions.
capotchino
You mean installing 10.9 from the app store should get everything work right not 10.9.1 from app store u'm downloading now the 13a603 version
xangel9626
I'm saying that you should be able to use retail 10.9 or retail 10.9.1 and they should both work the same using my instructions. I'm not sure though, but it's always possible using 10.9.1 for the install might cause issues. For your wifi card, I'm assuming you don't have any other cards you can try out to see if you can get wifi working?
capotchino
I will try the 10.9 version and will see. I have a wifi usb tp-link i tried it but didn't work i dont have kext for it
