sorry, I only use polite word when something statisfy me.. I am a polite boy.. Please forgive me with your kindness, i learnt a important lesson teach by you. Thank you very much, if you can, I want you become my mentor XD Sorry..

I have installed 10.6 but now I want to install 10.9.. Can you teach me how to configure?

I still don't know how this forum, because when i was in osx86.net, when i use polite word everyone seem like didn't want to give me respond because they think that i am noob (i think they look down me)

This is not the appropriate thread to discuss a non-Haswell laptop. And it is not polite to hijack a thread for off-topic discussions. You should open a separate thread for your issues.

I will not reply to any further questions in this thread regarding your laptop, and I would encourage others to do the same. Thanks!

This may be slightly different, but let me ask my question here.  I got HP Envy 17-j043cl (i7-4700mq HD4600) and am trying to install Mavericks on VirtualBox, because it should be easier than installing natively.  I use Niresh.  I successfully installed on VirutalBox on i7-3xxx (Dell laptop), i5-2xxx (Fujitsu laptop) and i7-840qm (HP laptop), but no success on my new HP laptop.  Mavericks installation is stopped at:

[iOBluetoothHCIController][searchForTransportEventTimeOutHandler] -- Missing Bluetooth Controller Transport!

Some people say it's not a Bluetooth issue; it's a graphics issue.  I tried -v, -f, -x, cpus=1, GraphicsEnabler=Yes/No, npci=0x2000 and combinations of above, but all same.  Would you give me an advise, please?

Off-topic for this thread. This thread concerns running on real hardware, not virtual hardware. Running in a VM is completely different as it depends more on the hardware devices (emulation) that the VM exposes than what's really in the machine.

I'm sorry before if I ask in wrong place. When use your mach kernel, what are necessary kext to install. I still confuse between asus aicpm, aicpm, and nullicpm, which one to install? And what else to configure like  SSDT, DSDT or Generate P state or C state is necessary or no>?
Because I try to install you mach kernel to my hdd, but still freeze if nullcpumanagement kext removed. I want use in 10.9

Hai RehabMan, I am using an hp envy 15 j110tx , i5 4200M CPU ,740M GPU , HD Res screen,

I am currently running the patched mach_kernel 10.9 (using ur info of course), but when I patch the mach_kernel of the newer 10.9.2 (update) kernel , i get the exact md5 you 've given , but mine have booting issues ,some "deadbeaf" issue kernel panic , i've tried patching the kernel after 10.9.2 update , and also by just changing the 10.9 to newer kernel, no good , also fyi i have p states 8 16 25 26 27 28 29 30 31 , can't say anything about c states (don't know how to find  it) , smbios: macbook pro 11,1 , please help , i would also be happy if you can guide me to sleep problem (mine doesn't sleep , wakes at the exect sleep point)

Thank You

Your booting issues (crash) are a different issue than locked CPU MSR 0xE2. Also I'm a bit confused by some of the things you say above: "by just changing the 10.9 to newer kernel?" The only valid way to run 10.9.2 is to patch the vanilla 10.9.2 mach_kernel.

Did you remove the nvidia kexts? Did you do DSDT patches (see my Envy repo for info). Are you using GenericUSBXHCI.kext + -gux_defer_usb2. Little confused by "mine doesn't sleep, wakes at the exect sleep point". If it doesn't "sleep" how does it "wake"??

Hi, I tried to install 10.9 on  haswell with intel g3220 cpu. I found out that I can not install 10.9 on this cpu and try to install 10.8.5 which I saw people says it's ok!

I built installer with a guide in this froum and another one with my hack. both of them goes black screen after some moment of booting, this has happened with any flag...and my vga card is ati 5450, I change it to 8600 gt which borrowd!, same thing happend.

I use this kernel which is attached in the first post, and freezes in screens like this :

The kernel attached in post #1 is for 10.9, not 10.8.5. And it should not even be used for 10.9. Patch your vanilla mach_kernel instead.

tnx,

after copying mach_kernel to desktop, I uses this command in your first post for 10.8.5

perl -pi -e 's|\x74\x69(\x48\x83\xc7\x28\x90\x8b\x05\xfe\xce\x5f\x00\x85\x47\xdc)\x74\x51(\x8b\x4f\xd8\x45\x85\xc0\x74\x05\x44\x39\xc1)\x75\x44(\x0f\x32\x89\xc0\x48\xc1\xe2\x20\x48\x09\xc2\x48\x89\x57\xf8\x48\x8b\x47\xe8\x48\x85\xc0\x74\x06\x48\xf7\xd0\x48\x21\xc2\x48\x0b\x57\xf0\x49\x89\xd1\x49\xc1\xe9\x20\x89\xd0\x8b\x4f\xd8\x4c\x89\xca)(\x0f\x30\x8b\x4f\xd8\x0f\x32\x89\xc0\x48\xc1\xe2\x20\x48\x09\xc2\x48\x89\x17\x48\x83\xc7\x30\xff\xce)\x75\x9c(\x5d\xc3)\x90{7}(\x90{3})|\x74\x70${1}\x74\x58${2}\x75\x4b${3}\x66\x81\xf9\xe2\x00\x74\x02${4}\x75\x95${5}${6}|g' mach_kernel

it regenerates the file and I replaced it with the one that was in my usb stick. but when I boot, black screen comes up again after a while

You may need both XCPM and lapic patches (KernelPatcher.dylib). And, depending on your graphics hardware, you may have to use some flags to activate it (eg. HD4600, IntelAzulFB=12 GraphicsEnabler=Y).

tnx again.

I download kernelpatcher and patch that mach_kernel that I patched with your perl code.

But it did not work.

my hardware:

asus h81m-c

cpu: intel g3220

vga: ati 5450

10.8.5

also tried alot of flags like:

PCIRootUID=0 and 1 Gra...y or no...-x ... :(

I'm not certain what you need to do to make your ATI 5450 work. You'll have to do some research on that.

At any rate, ATI5450 is off-topic for this thread.

It's really simple...

You need to add your Device-ID from your ati card to

"AMD5000Controller.kext" --> There is inside a info.plist (where IOPCIMatch)

"AMDRadeonX3000.kext" --> Same here, you just need to know your ATI Name (5450 = Cedar) (IOPCIMatch = your DeviceID)

OR --> You fake with Clover/DSDT/chameleon, whatever, your device-id to (dev=68E0 ven=1002)

Thats all :-)

Cheers :-)

(Sry Rehab, that i reply xD)

tnx but its not because of graphic card. I test on same system and core i3 cpu...and it does not stuck on black screen...

but in g3220 I have this problem..

well I have 10.9.0 running fine with your patch (on vanilla kernel) , cpu managment works ok ( p states : 8 16 25 26 27 28 29 30 31) , but no sleep.

the issue is that i used your patch for the kernel inside the standalone update package (10.9.2 combo) , then it gives me kp ( some deadbeef stuff) , i checked the md5 , its the same you have given in the post

please help

To update to 10.9.2 you use the combo installer, then patch mach_kernel on your HDD at /mach_kernel after.

I installed 10.9.1 on My laptop.

Haswell i7 4600U 2.1GHz

QM87 Express Chipset

smbios = MacBook Air 6,2

I tried some patches for DSDT. But my laptop still can't wake up from sleep.

It seems to sleep (Fan stops, LEDs blink. USB bus power down) when I select 'Sleep' or close LID.

But My laptop never wake up. So I have to press power button for force shutdown.

And I could not find any words related to sleep on system.log

How do I edit my DSDT? or I need to patch any Kext?
