Power does not completely power off. I mean there is already no signal from video, my monitor signal went off but my power on my CPU does not. vol264
Hi, I have the exact same problem. System goes to shutdown but the computer doesn't power off. Also restart does not work. Any news on this issue? Thanks,
jamiethemorris
Are you guys using Clover? This is a known bug in Clover with some computers. AFAIK there's no solution as of yet except to use the legacy version of Clover. One of the reasons I stopped using Clover on my desktop. It works perfectly on my notebook though without any shutdown issues. Edit: never mind I saw that you're using chameleon. I have a similar issue on my xps 720, it shuts down but when it gets halfway shut down and goes to a black screen when I restart. It's a htpc and pretty much status on all the time so I haven't bothered looking into the issue yet.
vol264
Hi, Becuase my first install was over ML I decided to do a clean install. Till the moment I imported my profile from ML disk shutdown and restart worked with no problems. After I migrated the user profile from ML shutdown & restart are showing the mentioned symptoms. Any idea what could cause this problems? Regards,
vol264
Hi, In my case the AppleRTC patch is causing this problem. sudo perl -pi -e 's|\x75\x2e\x0f\xb6|\xeb\x2e\x0f\xb6|' /System/Library/Extensions/AppleRTC.kext/Contents/MacOS/AppleRTCsudo touch /System/Library/Extensions Will try to patch my DSDT. Edit: Shutdown & Restart stopped working without applying the AppleRTC patch.
