JahStories
sorry, forgot you have to add your smbios & serial from clover configurator after copying the config.plist
swyner
Is there an easy way to do that? I just booted with no caches and injected kexts and got the original display resolution ( really small) and battery icon has an x through it
JahStories
please let me know if it's all working Open cloverconfigurator and add smbios or you can use your old config.plist and disable usb fix...
swyner
I just copied the smbios section in my original config.plst to your new config.plst. Reboot and all booting ok now. Brightness slider works perfect. No battery "present". X where % should be. All settings from previous display program are gone.
osxlander
battery status isn't working for me! is it possible that you might have a kext that makes it work for you? also, you guys can use "brightness slider" from the app store to get more brightness levels

I see ACPIBacklight.kext + "Brightness Fix (HD3000/HD4000)" from my laptop repo must have worked... And I would not recommend a rollback of AppleACPIPlatform as it breaks Ivy CPU power management. swyner
You guys are awesome. So can you confirm exactly what needs to be done and update first post? I think people will get confused by our back and forth and I personally still don't have it working.
jacobbloy
Do I have to replace the dsdt v0.2 with v0.3 of can I just keep both v0.2 and v0.3 in the one folder
JahStories
Use KextDrop (provided) to install the three provided kexts Delete AppleSmartBatteryManager.kext efrom System/Library/Extensions/ Replace the provided dsdt.aml to efi/clover/acpi/patched Copy the config.plist to efi/clover Open CloverConfigurator and create an smbios for MacBookAir5,2 Save & Reboot. @Swiner please can you use this terminal command? pmset -g assertions please post it back... osxlander
@jah FixHPET prevents battery status from working (for me at least), so i don't really have choice.

Appleacpiplatform is needed for voodoobattery... i know i could use the dsdt patch but i didn't figured out how... Just so you know Ivy PM is now broken... It is better to patch DSDT for battery instead of rolling back to Snow Leopard AppleACPIPlatform. But it is your computer, your choice.
